I can absolutely confirm the Injora servo is very good for its price! No shaking, no overheating, and it was totally compatible with a v1 Yokomo gyro. The torque was sufficient for a D5 bell crank system with minimal caster and the speed was good. only issue was that it doesn't perfectly recenter but it lands close enough l, within 5 degrees... And who cares, I'm sideways anyway and it's a cheap servo. Well outperforms it's price! Thanks for the research and tip! I put a video of my project using the injora servo on my page
Thanks for taking the time to share, man! btw, I have that exact 15 dollar steering servo in my RC10GT circle track racer, and it's been GREAT every weekend for the past 6 months!
Cheaper is not always good and expensive is not always better. Loved the video. For a sec I thought I would see a close up of the tire wobble but It was nice to see you slide around the garage too.
I tried to get a better shot of tire wobble, but it really hard to see, especially on a GoPro. It was very visible in person...and I sometimes over-estimate what the GoPro sees.
Perfect video my son and I are building a rmx 2.0 carbon fiber from the ground up and we were just talking about what servo to use or trying to save money and the vid definitely help me out preciate all the hard work. Stay sideways from Detroit.
Troy, it’s from your recommendations that I junked the JX in my RMX and went straight for the RS-ST. The reason? Servo shake. No matter what I did, I just couldn’t stop that servo from constantly trying to center and that’s BEFORE I connected my gyro! Thing is… I’d been searching for speed in servos, not realizing that you also need torque, which both go hand in hand. Personally, I like the RS-ST. Not the fastest but one of the smoothest for drift. Combine that with the programmer and REVOX and you have a combo that will make you look like a pro out of the box! Nothing against cheaper servos but the RS-ST is on a whole different level that cheaper servos can’t give you. To anyone asking, the programmer for the RS-ST is worth it and also updates the servo a bit compared to the settings given to you out of the box. I might give the Injora a look since I’m rebuilding my old TT-02 RWD drifter.

I recommend the Yokomo V4 with the Sp-03D V2 always, its a bit pricey but its the best out there in my opinion but the gyd550 isnt bad it was a good gyro for my mst build and I’ve personally never used the HD G1 but i wont knock it till i try it

Nice video...I messaged you in the past and told you that I ran and still run a rtr blue traxxas servo. Wondered if you have tried one yet in a drifter. My setup is with a Futaba radio and gyro. Have never known why it works so well but you said something in your video regarding dampening...this may be why it works so well as this same servo is used in traxxas vehicles with TSM and may have dampening built in for that reason.
Hi there! We had a local guy use a Traxxas servo and didn't have very good luck with it. Honestly, most just stripped a gear rather quickly. Glad it is working for you!
I use the base $75 Yokomo, the slow speed and top notch seek correction make it stable at 100% gyro for me. I've also used a EcoPower 110T which was questionable on the MST, and an AKG programmable on another car, not a drift car but its a nice functional servo. :D
sharks.. you showed how fast each of the servo moved except the one you recommended. Would be great to see how close it is to the stated 0-60degree speed spec.
Thanks for yet another AWESOME video. Have you tried pairing the ReveD servo with GYD450 on the direct steering system? If so, whats your breakdown on that?
Hi Earl - unfortunately I have not tried that exact combo. My assumption is between the AVCS on the GYD450 and the programmability of the RS-ST, that combo should work very well.
@@RoadsideRC thank you definitely getting the rev d servo and yokomo gyro as my first upgrade for my yd2s. One question what is the benefit of upgrading the transmitter? And what are the points of having say 5 or 6 channels?
