I kind of miss going to the small markets like we do back home (You have to go in search of "farmers markets" over here in US). But won't the vendors let you pick your own items if you insist? I know even back home they sneak in bad produce if you are not careful. Google translate App on the phone might come in handy for people who are still new & just learning Spanish though it takes time & effort to communicate that way. I must mention that watching your videos has made me put Mexico on my bucket list. The most I have ventured is into Tijuana whenever I visit San Diego & a cruise to Ensenada. Hope to explore the beautiful country more extensively in the future. I was always intrigued by the country having read the work of Nobel Laureate Octavio Paz (BTW he was Mexican ambassador in India in early 60s. His book 'In Light of India' is a memoir of his time in India).
Yes Google Translate can be helpful. 😊 but again the pronunciation becomes a problem and as you said it definitely takes time. Yeah some vendors arrange vegetables in such a way that only they can reach, and they select them for us
Hi Dear I love going to the market or flea market as we call them here in Texas but for me is most to take a good walk enjoy the food and do a little shopping 🛍️ Thanks for your video ❤
I know what you mean, there’s something special about strolling through a market! But as I mentioned in the video, we need a lot of time and patience though 😄
I agree that you need to know spanish to buy things in Mexico, personally I don't have higher education but I speak English and even some Hindi and Punjabi (Sat Sri Akaal mere doste Namaskar), there's no need for the normal mexican people to learn any english, here in Mexico some deaf people and indigenous people get along with a calculator and a notepad to agree on prices on the markets when they buy their groceries, I personally prefer those markets buuut I'd say in the Bajío mexican culture they do things differently, I'd say they're hostile, the chichimeka and nhanhu blood makes them like a little bit more aggressive than other mexicans, there are other markets in mexico where they have prices displayed and they'll let you pick your stuff which I agree is really important to some of us. I hope you can visit other regions of Mexico where the culture is more mellow, I live close to Querétaro and I'm already planning to leave this area for a more welcoming one like Oaxaca or Quintana Roo, even San Luis Potosí. Happy Diwali
Well teachers are paid very less here in most of the normal schools, if you get into a big university or international schools then the payment is good depending on the subject and classes
Monterrey is a border city to US and Mexico and hence the cost of living is higher that Queretaro but I won’t be able to how much you would need because it would depend on which area you stay
@@makeupeunoia3126 I didn’t say that they need to speak English, did I? FYI I speak Spanish, and this video was mainly for people who are new to Mexico, and no language can be learned in a month or two, takes time
Don't say things like that. I'm from Mexico, do YOU speak Otomi? Nahuatl? Don't force people to learn the colonizers' language. Mexico IS NOT THE US, WE DON'T DO THAT HERE!

Hi, it’s not that I had a bad day or I decided to speak bad about Mexico, I never did that in any of the videos, I was just saying the things about the local market since my video is about that, it’s just an awareness video for the new people who come to Mexico, and as much as I know I explained it in a very neutral manner without insulting anyone. And for the question you asked about India, if I’m making a video about India then I would definitely mention that too, pls watch my other videos about Mexico and then judge me and for the question about local language, I speak Spanish and this video was for new comers in Mexico and as much as I know it takes time for people to learn a language

@@almendratlilkouatl Thank you!!! So cool that you speak so many languages
Very good advise thanks
Mam can you explain approximate expenses for 2 people living in queretaro excluding rent
Mexico is like India, expenses depend on the are you live, the places you buy the groceries from
Can you explain about your teaching profession in Mexico? How is the education system and teaching profession in schools and colleges there?
Well teachers are paid very less here in most of the normal schools, if you get into a big university or international schools then the payment is good depending on the subject and classes
How much money would it take for a bachelor to live in Monterrey ? How much can we save? Any thoughts on it please
