I learned this through intermittent fasting. I was losing pounds per week too. I could not believe how fast it was falling off. I substantially decreased my carb and sugar intake and increased my protein and veggies. After I lost a certain amount of weight, I started to do a 30 minute HIIT workout per day at least 4 times a week and build muscle. Today I work out 6 days a week. Now, I have good results from my annual health checks and I am in shape. I do have cheat days, but I have built enough muscle that it seems to absorb all of those calories.
