I was going to say I'm sorry for your breakup.
But however, as you're happy I am glad. If a relationship is toxic and you don't feel right in it or they're doing what she did to you, then you are completely right to do what you did!
However, she may have done something bad to you, I hope she is okay too and gets whatever help she needs. If her depression is as bad as I implied from what you said.

It's not that you shouldn't date someone with depression. You shouldn't date someone who doesn't want to get better. I have depression but I don't try to bring those down around me. It's not fair to the people I care about. I recently got out of a six year relationship. So good job getting out of that relationship!
