After relistening to Cecil Taylor's Unit Structures album again today (I've listened to it before in the past about 10 times, I'm 19) I broke down in tears of joy seeing his pure expression even after listening to the albums so many times before. I've listened to many of his other albums and works many times before - I had to go through the Internet to find out more about him. He deserves this amazing honourable prize more than any other and much more. He was a visionary and expressed his core from all directions. Cecil Taylor's music is some of the only music I have ever listened to that has been able to truly convey existential truth beyond sensation, yet through sensation. If I could meet Cecil in person would be something that is for sure! Shame I'm in the other side of the world and have no idea how I could meet him!

Neologisms, methinks, Cecil's meta-language. Read the sleevenotes to "Garden" or "Unit Structures" for a written sample. Raymond Carver he ain't.
