Welcome Home album was great album. I did buy it in 1978 in ex Yugoslavia. Loved it and it's album cover. Welcome Home song used to make me shed my tears. Woooow.
That woman pretending to play percussion is simply out of order and disrespectful indeed of music, musicians, ancestors, tradition, elders, etc, etc, etc; This band is famous for other musical reasons but now you may as well just eliminate percussion and become more of a guitar rock band. I have seen that woman before and I have noticed her eyes are like looking for some gold or something. Don’t disrespect the Conga drum our ancestors went through a lot to keep and preserve our thing ONLY for a London woman to come pretend.... can you not call a black latino like me or others? we’re also black and africans and that instrument Congas belongs to us and to anyone that respects it!!!
😀😃😄Why don't you apply for the job instead of ranting here? Contact the band and show them what you've got and if you're as good as you think you are, they might ask you to join the band. Btw, I concur with the sentiments you expressed in your comment.
Was living in Nairobi Kenya with my parents in 1976, when this song was released. 14 yrs old, just loved Osibisa and had all their albums... :)

keyboard solo tho
Osibisa: Teddy Osei, Mac Tontoh, Sol Amarfio, Robert Bailey, Wendell (Dell) Richardson, Abdul Loughty Lasisi Amao . This is a wrong shit, not Osibisa!
shut up, it's Osibisa sound and that's okay.
Several of the original founding members have passed away, the remaining members are carrying on the band's legacy.
