Wow Nic, l don't usually comment but this project is out of this world. Such attention to detail..amazing. l live just outside Bournemouth where Mary Shelley is buried in the family plot ..along with Percy her husband's heart...that is a story in itself!!
I know this is two years old but it is a stunning work and I would have purchased it as I have a love for all things medical and a lover of reading/writing etc... you are lucky to own this whoever you are!! To die for!!
Dang Girl - you sure do know how to put together a 'junk' journal. You out did your self this time. Gratzi 4 sharing a very special, to be treasured, 'speciman'. *:D.
Beautiful work and wonderful storytelling. I couldn't imagine how you would top the Sherlock Holmes one, and you soooo did. I'll be watching the ebay auction.
I’m new to your channel and have subscribed but how in the world you can part with these masterpieces is a mystery to me. I actually gasped when you opened the box and I saw the wrap. So beautifully presented. I wanna be your kid on Halloween! Your imagination....wow.
Sooo beautiful. Very unique that it has a complete story line, all the research you put into it, just makes it all the more awesome! I can tell you love this project as well and you put that love in it when you were creating it.
OMG this is out of this world!!! I love Frankenstein. I mean the original story that really is about who is the true monster. Hint folks it's not the monster it's Dr. Frankenstein. Wow oh wow!
Nik, you are such an amazing artist. Just love the way you present your train of thoughts when you explain how you made a book. Just amazing, just beautiful, just so artistic and ageless. Thank you for sharing. Love always sister.
I've watched this video & sent it to so many people in the last 6+ months!! It's so unique I just love it!!! I would love to own any of your books but this is definitely 1 of my favorites lol.... anytime I get a notification I go straight to your shop before watching b/c they go so fast & no matter what size, shape, color, # of pages, etc they're ALL gorgeous!!!
You are an absolutely extraordinary artist! I can only dream of owning one of your books. So, you have inspired me to learn how to create one for myself. I am so glad I found your channel. The first book I am going to attempt to create will be a book for my Granddaughter and her husband as a wedding gift. They are getting married May 26th, 2018. I hope that gives me enough time to put something together. Something like "The Story of Us" so they can keep a record of their life together from the beginning. Wish me luck..............
A wonderfully illustrated history lesson! I would feel so humble writing in this "Tome" where Mary Shelley is featured! Wonderful work of art. Just found it today! So much work involved. Love your "stuff"!
I just found this video. I am flabbergasted! (Don’t you love that word?) This is absolutely one of the most interesting and artistic journals I’ve ever seen. Fantastic!
Breathing, in every way possible. I would love to have one or at least know how to do one. I would love to see one of Lovecraft and/or Poe. Cheers from Argentina 😊
Love the book! Keep the stories coming (The Amazon Story, Sherlock Holmes) . Just getting into the journal world and it seems like everything is lacy etc. Not me but I need ideas. Love your imagination. You ARE part of the journals you make that I have seen. Not cookie cutter out of the paper pack. .Keep them coming!!!
Goodness, this is amazing! Love that Gorge got a cameo in it : )) One of my favorite characteristics about the monster is Shelley invests him with compassion, intelligence (he speaks German, reads)...the locket...and he is self-aware. The trippy part of Shelley's bio is her family dynamics...lots of step-kids, kids from previous marriages, kids with her father's second wife, she and her brother wedlock babies....really incredible, but the Brits rolled like that. Really beautiful and intriguing book - I LOVE the tails....they look pretty on grunge or frilly books. Lucky winner when its over!! TFS x
oh man, GT, the story of her life reads like a novel! I def took liberties in my narrative of this journal, but you are spot on, just her original life story is dramatic! thank you, my friend!
Omg! The needle, the stitches. The blood, the book and all the anatomical pictures are all awesome! Awesome story! Awesome, awesome! Can you stop by my house and teach me your ways lol? So talented!
OMG you are freaking amazing woman!!! I love when you come up with these type of themes. You are out of this world amazing!!!! Unfortunately i am unable to afford to take your course but if im ever able i would in a heartbeat! Thank you for sharing.
Oh wow!!! This is such an incredible creation - very fitting for the subject it embodies. (Not sure if the puns are intended). However, it has certainly opened MY eyes to many wonderous possiblities. Amazing. 🧡💚🤎
Excellent job , I'm sure you worked very hard on your research. Love these large journals ! I know they take some time ; I fall all over myself trying to remember all that I want to include in a project before I forget . I guess it would be wise to do some sort of outline but you know how that goes ; I don't need to write that down I won't forget, ( haha ). Love , and again a great job !
outline? what is this thing you speak of? ha! yeah, Im not really good at writing things down and planning...it just all gets piled into an "idea heap" and I sort out the flow as I move along =)
Another great journal, Nik.... amazing work. Just a little tid-bit, I heard on fox news this past Halloween, there was a baby boy born on October 31st of this year, and their last name is Frankenstein!!!
Wow that is AWESOME!!!! - Nik - have you seen the movie Gothic - it is about when Mary Shelley visited Lord Byron starring Gabriel Byrne as Lord Byron, Julian Sands as Percy Bysshe Shelley, Natasha Richardson as Mary Shelley, cool movie.
I’m in love with this journal!! I’d love to see if anyone’s done a journal for Frederick George Abberline documenting the hunt for Jack the Ripper? Or Jean Valjean hunting for Javert in Les Miserables? I’d love to try that since they’re two my favorite books-Dracula being in the top spot!
Amazing work! In my core courses for college one of my instructors wanted us to use our creative talents. She gave us an assignment...pop yourselves in any time in history and write as if you were there. Can you guess what I picked? I bet you can lol The contest of the night she began her book. I did a lot of research and just fell in love with all the aspects of the story. I believe that is also the night that Byron created the beginnings of one of his stories based on some Balkin tales which later Dracula was derived from if I can remember correctly, it's been a few years lol. I enjoyed your work and the tale you told. Keep them coming please :) ~Jenn
I did lol but she inspired me with just a few sentences, much like you and your art you create. Teachers don't always teach in a classroom setting. Keep on doing what you do as you inspire many and thank you for that. :)
Amazing book... I just love the way you put them together you must do so much research... I think that must be some of the fun in the creation too. Xx Will you be doing a teachable on that on its own... knowing about the copyrights etc. Of the books and photos inside and stuff like that??? I would love to do that 😊😊😊
Nik, I am curious about the framing around the photo on top of the box. Is that something you made or bought and then painted? I am making a journal for my sister to use for the memories of my stillborn niece and I would like to put it in a box like that with a pic of my nieces hands on the front. I would love a frame like that around her photo. Thank you for continuing to inspire and bless your viewers.
Fabulous journal! Can you please tell me where you found the yellowish gold damask paper featured next to the page with the leather strip/ suturing samples (10:50)? I was hoping it was in your shop, but didn’t see it listed there. Thank you!
Wow Nic, l don't usually comment but this project is out of this world. Such attention to detail..amazing. l live just outside Bournemouth where Mary Shelley is buried in the family plot ..along with Percy her husband's heart...that is a story in itself!!
The blood stain on the fabric...stitch practicing on leather...painting of husband’s funeral! Hilarious and clever. Awesome journal!
I know this is two years old but it is a stunning work and I would have purchased it as I have a love for all things medical and a lover of reading/writing etc... you are lucky to own this whoever you are!! To die for!!
So lovely, love to know how you made the frame and the box, the color is beautiful, the book is amazing. Thank you for sharing.
I think Mary Shelley would have loved this book too. Great work of art. Love it.
Wow nik, especially love the cover and the box, awesome x
hello, miss J! thank you so very much =)
An "anatomically" perfectly crafted journal if ever there was one! Wow. I'm speechless!
Lighting the incense and votive candles now around my Nik Shrine!!!! *NO WORDS*
As an admirer of Mary Shelley and Frankenstein, let me say this is exquisite and fun.
Dang Girl - you sure do know how to put together a 'junk' journal. You out did your self this time. Gratzi 4 sharing a very special, to be treasured, 'speciman'. *:D.

Best journal so far. If I knew nothing about this journal and saw it, I would know it was for Mary Shelley and believe it was real.
I love when you older videos pop up. This is beautifully crafted. Thank you for sharing
