Hi Bob, Jenny and Poppy, the Auto Trails are high up. I’ve just got my new Auto Trail F60 Ford automatic. I’m going to put a step that fits under the electric step to make it easier for me and Coco ( dog with little legs ). They are lovely motorhomes with tons of storage ( well I think so but then I’ve just swapped from a Elddis Autoquest CV60 camper van ) The joy of my new one is a separate shower, no more being swished in a tiny washroom.
Congratulations, there is a big benefit being so high - no scraping on speed humps or ferry ramps. Hope you're enjoying the drive on the automatic too.
You did give me a good laugh at one point with the finicky nature of those two kitchen extension surfaces in the Ascari 372. I had exactly the same experience when I tried to put the pull out one back and the drop down one back...
Thanks Bob a really enjoyable watch. My preferred motorhome was the Swift Ascari as it was under seven metres in length, this being the maximum length we can comfortably accommodate on our driveway. I liked the exterior of it with the contrasting grey cab with patriotic decals and the white body. I'm not such a fan of the rear lounge though.
Fascinating comparisons Bob. Cant quite understand why the smaller Swift is more expensive than the first one. I suppose it depends on the accessories included?
Hi Bob great videos and shocking to see Todd’s still so empty compared to days of old. Pre Covid we used to go and the entire floor was crammed with vans. I am a committed autotrail fan but really didn’t like the one you looked at. It looked really cheap in its finish. What did you think? Thanks for showing these vans. Take care
Yes, but the stock is certainly better than it was. I'm not keen on those plain wooden cupboards in the Auto-Trail C71 or the F-lines. The cupboards in the Imala and above are much better.
