I subscribe to every channel that does a bandit Trans Am build. One of my favorite cars of all time! Nice Job! Would enjoy seeing a video of the build process....or even just a video of the pictures of the process....how it looked when you started.
I'm building something similar to this (78 Formula Firebird L/E) but taking it a few steps further to a modern sports car than this one. Nicely done. What was the model trans, shifter, and clutch assembly did y'all go with? Still going through a few ideas in that department.
Hey! It was a T56 Magnum with the tremec short throw shifter. We are using a McLeod twin disc clutch. It’s all amazingly smooth and would highly recommend.
They’re Recaro LX seats up front that have a custom upholstery design for this car. The rear seats actually started as factory bases but we shaped the foam to have more of a bolster to match the front.
Nice car & vid, although it was like nails on a blackboard at 1:52 hearing that it had been turned into yet another dime-a-billion Chevy under the hood. 😭🤮. There's ample aftermarket support for the Pontiac V8s-- aluminum blocks, heads, hyd roller cams, etc., etc., making hideous LS swaps completely unnecessary for them. If someone wants to throw an LS in a Monza-- or even a later Fiero which never had a Pontiac V8 option-- fine, but there's no need to keep defacing vintage Pontiacs with them. ☹️
We designed the interior, actually. They are Recaro LX front seats with custom upholstery. Back seats are stock with some modifications to mimic a bolster seat. That way they match the fronts better.
Look i love the car yous did some good work on a lot of things but that Paint job is pretty bad. It is not perfect whatsoever. There's a lot of imperfections on the hood on the roof on the sides All over the car
I have a 79 black and gold SE and she’s like my baby and I take umbrage with your nasty comment. 😢 Say what you want, she’s a beauty to me and my thumb gets cramped when I drive it as I return the many thumbs up from strangers.
Im Sorry For the second comment But the guy keeps on talking about the body work on the car that its Perfect, but I'm sorry, it's not. There's nothing perfect about the paint job and the body work on that car 🤦🏻♂️ im sorry im not trying to be a jerk about it its only cause when it comes to The body work and paint job im a bit of Nitpicker cause my brother Used to own a body shop and me and him are very Picky when it comes to Body Work and paint job. Again sorry not trying to be a jerk

Looks good, sounds great. Can you tell us what model mufflers were used?
It’s a 3” hooker black heart system! We love the sound as well 😍
Honey Hush I like
Nice job guys! What kind of seats are those? Are those old trans an recaro seats or custom

Love the recaro seats in the trans am if only Pontiac built them as nice as this one featured in this video
super g..............
Why not use a Pontiac 400 or 455?

Well spoken sir.
Well, I was okay with the GM LS motor after I saw the shaker, I was afraid it had an Olds 403 in it!
@@SicilianC5 Lol.
Where did you get your interior

@@gkrmotorcars494 thank you I appreciate it I'm on my fourteenth one right now. And it's getting worse and worse on finding quality parts
burt loved the recaros, FACT!
@Skeeterpfr you get thumbs up because others are amazed you got an old gm product to actually stills run.
Richard Rawlings already Did it 😎❓
Haha, we’ve been in the same conversation as Richard Rawlings a lot recently! Maybe there’s something to that 😎
You guys watch too many movies
😂😂
While filming "'Smokey," Burt Reynolds drank a lot of Tab during breaks in his trailer. Hence, the cast and crew nicknamed him "BURP Reynolds."
yes, no release, for legal reasons?
Pontiac needs to come back...simple as that.
Need croba car
A speeding ticket? Flat out it did a 110 mph. Nothing to brag about.
The audio is terrible. Had to turn volume all the way up and I could still barely hear him talk.

Typical gm redesigned the 1978 to the ugly 1979 butt ugly one and killed sales.
Yah, not sure what they were trying with the 79 and on but 77-78 was the best!
