I have the iPhone 14 Pro Max but I still use my iPhone 8 constantly, I really like the touch ID and I also find the size of the phone comfortable. The only bad thing is its battery, I've had it since 2017 but it's still pretty useful.

If you have an 8 and thinking of an upgrade, ip11 or ip13/ip13 mini are IMO really good if not the best and should be definitely enough for you.

Note: My iPhone 8 min battery health is 100% original battery changed, it's like new.
I'd rather suggest a Samsung cause larger in size and no matter the model I think all the cameras are good in quality iphones are also good I have one one but I'd suggest to buy a Samsung if you need an affordable on buy the Samsung note 10+ the best at storage and the camera quality is dope
