  • This video is meant to be a training tool for my athletes worldwide.
    Videos like these are usually sold or put in member areas. I might actually do so in the future.
    The reason why we asymmetric core training is that it connects the peripheric muscle groups to functional chains like nothing else. This increases our max power output.
    It is a static + intermittant asymmetric core training - as asymmetry is precisely what we need in rowing every day.

    Excellent routine, Aram! My client shared this with me as one of his usual independent routines and the thing I love most about the programming here is the consistent asymmetrical loading with variable lever and moment arms.

    Hey Aram, I have a quick question about this circuit- I’m a sweep rower, and have an asymmetric core (more built up on the left side, from rowing port).
    If I’m trying to even out my strength, should I only do these exercises on the less-built up side, to make my torso more symmetrical?

      Hm... I think if you do these workouts on a frequent basis (4 to 8 sets per week in perfection), there is no need to do more for one side.

    Hey Aram, great workout! Really hit the abs deep.
    But, if I am not mistaken, you haven't mentioned the number of sets. I find the exercises very challenging, but just wanted to know if one should increase the number of sets over time.
    Furthermore, how many sessions a week? I am sorry if you have already addressed these questions in the video, must have missed it, given that I was burning...

      Hi, the number of sets varies greatly and depends on the number of weeks that are left until your peak of season. I usually schedule this core routine for my athletes on team aramtraining as complementary workouts.

    Hey can you please help me? I followed your workout and I had great results but I passed an injury in hip flexors so please help me what can I do?

      "injury" is a very wide term. Generally speaking, I would not do any exercise that further strains an already strained muscle. Give it a bit of time and do light mobilization at best.

    Hey Aram. I have done this workout a couple times, but I don't feel it much in the abs. I do feel it in the shoulders and hamstrings for some reason, though. Should I feel it in the abs? Do you know why I feel it in the hamstrings and shoulders?

      Hey Peter, your weakest body parts always rebell first. It is best to stick to it and wait until you have become flexible and strong enough to feel it in the abs.
