As a PSR-E463 user, I'm happy to see the number of improvements made by Yamaha on the PSR-E473 after 4 years. Good to know that this keyboard comes with 61 more voices, 55 more styles, motion effects, direct category access that allows the user to select his favorite voices as quickly as possible, and finally a Super articulation button! Can't wait to see how the new Mega boost function works. Also, I'm glad to know that Yamaha has finally added a mic input port to connect a microphone and sing along with our playing. Thanks for the news Jeremy!

As the psr e463 user, i really glad to see a lot of improvements of this keyboard. One of my favorite is there is a mic input, making this keyboard could be a real audio interface.

yes but also there are disappointing things : I would have liked a additional button for the style variations (one to choose variation A or B and another to choose fill-in A or B), and a modulation wheel or at least a knob or a button... And for now, it is 120€ more expensive than the E463...

E463 and any keyboard with an AUX input can take in a microphone. I simply use a BONAK karaoke microphone (around 30 US$), connected to my E443 keyboard using standard audio cable (1/8" connector on both end) and that works great. A normal XLR microphone will not work even with proper adapter. I have done some recording of vocal and keyboard playing on my EW410 (76 key version of the E463).

And very limited too like most Casio boards. They have some nice sounding patches at their price point. As far as patches, I think Yamaha can compete at the low end and blow Casio out the water at the higher end.

I'm looking for the CT-S500. It seems like a good successor to my CT-X800. Easy to use, with all the basic functions and (FINALLY!) L/R outputs. And it can edit sounds, good! I just want to know how it works and the price. If Casio puts a reasonable price, I'll buy it.

However, on the PSR-EW425, a percussive click sound at key-on/key-off and a leakage sound are added, providing more realistic vintage organ sounds."

Very good sounding keyboard, but I will never understand how Yamaha will load a keyboard with an incredible amount of features, and sound quality that allows it to compete with boards easily costing more than double the price, yet they don’t add something as basic, been around for decades, and inexpensive…, a MOD wheel. It’s like they’ve decided the mod wheel is just “too pro” for the board.

76 keys, pitch bend wheel and metal speaker grilles. I am wondering what the price is for the PSR-EW425. Did they raise the polyphony? It would be great if it has 128 or 256 like most Rolands.
I am still on track to get the CT-S1 and still want a Reface CP. But this is a game changer. I am aware it will cost more, but if it is about $350 like my Go:Keys to $400 with the features I mentioned above, it will be worth it to me.
It would by a great keyboard to supplement our church worship team and take the place of a Roland V Combo VR-09B and cost a lot less with the bigger 76 key format. And also be a good interim until I get to the level I can validate a Roland RD 88. And the two would be a great rig for my set up along with the Casio CDP-S350 our pastor/worship leader uses.
Great but for the future. My Go:Keys, JD-Xi, PSS-A50 will be a great set up with the CT-S1 and Reface CP.
Great job, Yamaha. The text on the video displays too fast to read, but Yamaha still has great sound and features for the price.
Each keyboard I have now, and plan to get as I stated each has it's unique features for versatility. My Go:Keys has the polyphony, lots of tones, BT and audio input jack, and loop function to function in a different approach to the arranger keyboard rhythms. The CT-S1 has all the sounds and optional BT capability as a great take along keyboard. The PSS-A50 makes a cheap keyboard partner with rhythms and programmable bass or other parts and versatility and compactness.
The Reface CP has all the classic electric keyboards and built in effects and even an easter egg grand piano. It would make an even more compact portable duo with the PSS-A50 over the CT-S1. And the JD-Xi is the swiss army knife that can do a lot of things by itself, or with the others.
But these new Yamaha keyboards would be a great one to get if you are just getting one keyboard, especially if you need the extra octave of the PSR-EW425.

I like the Yamaha PSR-EW425 for the larger 76 note keyboard, but it would have to be a later one to get now. The Casio CT-S1000V is too incredible not to get. The CT-S1 is still great, but the vocal synthesis capabilities is almost too good to be true, and the voice tones and effects, especially for the acoustic and electric pianos and organs rival the Yamaha PSR-E473/PSR-EW425. And it's discounted from the suggested MSRP of $679.00 down to $449.00!

    Hey Jeremy See !
I have watched so many videos for buying best arranger keyboard under 500$ and I was fixed to buy Casio ct-x5000. Is it worth buying today?
But again I am confused for which keyboard should I buy casio ct-x5000 or Yamaha psr-e473?
As you already make the video titled 'Surprise winner? Korg EK50 vs Yamaha PSR-EW410 vs Casio CT-X5000' 3 years ago, please make a new video about full comparison between casio ct-x5000 and its all competitors which worth buying today.

    • @matthewgaines10
      @matthewgaines10 2 роки тому +1

Why are you confused? My suggestion would be to not focus on the “best keyboard” in a particular segment and focus on what you think you want and need. Get what best suits your specific use case instead of what is graded as “best” by objective or subjective criteria. If something is “best” all around but another item is better for your particular uses, what purpose does it serve you to have the “best”? The best tool is one you have and can use. That often varies from person to person.
Determine your needs and evaluate features against them. Sometimes, you’re better of by not watching so many videos if your can’t adequately parse the information to be selective based upon your particular needs. If there was some universal best option, that would be the only unit that would sell. Some of the best comparisons are done here on this channel and by others. That being said, you still need to evaluate the information provided to make a personalized decision tailored to your needs. Most 2nd, 3rd, and even 4th place keyboards are great options for the users that choose them. Again, it boils down to what you want, what you need, how much you want to spend, and how it works for you.
Sometimes if you can’t select between two options, it indicates the differences in your mind are too insignificant to matter in practical terms.
I’d wouldn’t be surprised if this channel already has plans to do updated comparisons for availability competing units.

Is a huge improvement for effects but I will not be swapping my ew410 as this new model cannot sample cromaticaly across the keys and Yamaha have reduced samples loop banks to 4 instead of 6. This way the whole point of my purchase (my videos reflect that) so now for example, I cannot recreate old prodigy tracks or create my own sampling music. The quick sampling is not a gimmic for those who create dance stabs and utilise loop banks like the Roland W30. I'm not a piano player but more of a composer, so this new model would be a disadvantage to what I do. Only my personal preference and opinion, otherwise I'm out.

Sometimes if I unplug the pedal, the sound will continuously sustain without the pedal even plugged in until I shut the keyboard off and restart it.
Does this keyboard not support the FC3A pedal? I don’t wanna drop $28 on the FC4A, or $15 on the FC5 pedal.

Nice, a lot more features, but... Where is the grand piano sound? How does it sounds like? Is it improved?
I can't explain how happy I am with the L/R outputs and true Mic input in the PSR E473. This finally makes the PSR E400 series appealling to me.
But, what about the sound? If this sounds exactly like the PSR E463 and E363/373, I will be disappointed.
The sounds are a critical part of the keyboard, and while Casio does not makes very rich featured entry level keyboards like Yamaha, their CT-X, CT-S1 and CT-S400 keyboards DO SOUND awesome for their price range.
In my opinion, once you get used to better sounding keyboards, going back to the AWM sound generator from PSR E463 and older keyboards just feels unnatural and too digital.
I'll hope for both PSR E473/EW425 to have a more modern sound generator.

What's the best between the Yamma pizza four hundred 73 and the kid SX 600 is the difference going on?

    • @blueterminal7495
      @blueterminal7495 2 роки тому

      here are a few difference
      Yamaha PSR-E473 vs SX600
      *Sound Quality*
The PSR-E473 features upto 14 S.Art LITE voices, which are the E Series rendition of the bestselling S, SX, Genos and Tyros Series' Super Articulation voices. However the more superior SX600 has 73 S.Art voices found already on the S and SX Series.
We will also focus on its main sound, the Piano.
This however, makes the E473 superior in its Piano sound because the E473 has the Live! CFX Concert Grand Piano which is sampled from the top of the line Acoustic Piano with a richer sound. Also it is only found in the Genos and the DGX-670. The PSR-SX600 however, even the SX700 and SX900, retains the old Concert Grand Piano sound sampled from the older Yamaha CF3S, which had its use in 2015 on the release of the PSR-S670, S770 and S970. Yamaha also did not add the S.Art version of the ConcertGrand on the SX600, as found in the S970, S975, SX700 and SX900.
      *Style quality*
Of course there is no way that the E473 can run out of this. With a 6-Track sequencer on the E473 compared to the 8-Track sequencer on the SX600, as well as the use of the MegaVoices, the styles on the E473 are no match to the SX600. One of the biggest drawbacks of the styles currently found on the E463 and E473 are the legacy styles that has been used in the PSRs since 2001. Some of the styles in the E473 are very awesome, like 80sPowerRock, 80sPopRock that was just added to this model. there are outdated ones like the HardRock2 and the 8BeatModern which has to be removed in future models as its outlived for quite long.
      *Sequencer*
The E473 has a 7-Track Sequencer in its songs and 6 Tracks for the Styles. However, the SX600 is much superior since it has 8 tracks for Styles and *16* tracks for the songs, expanding its sequencer capabllities. The SX600 also uses the SFF2 or SFFGE style formats which allow 3 intros, 3 endings, four variations and a break to its styles, while the E473 uses SFF or SFF1 styles format, which has only one intro, two variations and one ending, as well as lack of the auto fill in button.
*Quick Sampling Pads vs Multi Pads*
The Quick Sampling pads, new to the E Series, are the Lite versions of the Multi Pads found on the S Series, SX Series, Tyros and Genos. It replaces the older Keyboard Sample Zones "A B C D" found on the E463 and the I500 into pads. They can take in samples via aux cable or usb. However you can not change the tone or pitch shift of the Multi-Pads, compared to its previous model.
In Quick Sampling Pads, you can store up to one bank of samples in the Pads.
The SX600, however, like the S670, has inbuilt Multipad Samples as well as the abillity to create your own samples. You can store unlimited banks of 4 Multipads and can switch banks anytime. One disadvantage of the Multipad system in the SX600 is you can not sample directly from the pads via an aux cable, rather it has to be more cumbersome by needing wav files only by USB. Both the E473 and SX600 can one shot and loop the multipad samples.
      *Expandabillity*
The E473, like the E463, allows you to expand its styles in SFF1 formats and store up to 10 different styles internally. You can also load styles on USB so you dont have to use up the internal memorys. You can also revoice the higher model styles into lower model styles from softwares available online, like Jorgen Sorensen's Style Revoicer and SFF2 to SFF1 style converter, which is available for free on the internet.
The SX600 allows you to store up to *100MB* of styles in SFF2 format. It also allows the expansions of voices, so you can bring in the voice you love into the keyboard.
