The light from these new LED streetlights is awful and incredibly unhealthy for people and animals. The light from these lamps are a blue-white opposed to the previous warm yellow light. Blue light is ‘daylight’ (yellow is more natural like fire) so when exposed to the ‘artificial daylight’ your body thinks its daytime and so interrupts your sleeping cycles (Circadian rhythm) this leads to the reduction of Melatonin production - a hormone that regulates your immune system increasing you change of getting ill. Also these lamps don’t have a diffuser to scatter the light on the bulbs, this means that it can parentally damage your vison especially if you directly at the light. These lights also causes massive amounts of glare on wet roads too, increasing the number of deaths/injury in road accidents. I know this might sound a bit out there, but this is just the first stage of 'Smart Street lights’ changes. The next set of upgrades to these lamps will be sensors that relay our personal information / data like your energy/water consumption, refuse frequency/amount/recycling compliance, carbon emissions and track your physical movements via your mobile phone and biometric data. www.theguardian.com/technology/2019/may/19/revealed-5g-rollout-is-being-stalled-by-rows-over-lampposts
Yes, I'm on several alternative media sites & there is much discussion about LED street lights & their use with the 5G systems being implemented. Indeed i much preferred the old amber SOX lights. I also think these LED street lights, being a cold white colour, seem to create more shadows & dark spots, also now cars, bikes and other vehicles all have the same colour LED lighting, it can all blend in together & make it harder to see the distinction between traffic & street lights, especially when it's raining or foggy.
@@NOWThatsRichyI’ve just seen some Amber LEDs (Holophane Vmax) on the A43 road. They’re exactly the same colour as the neighbouring sodiums. The technology is there, Councils need to use them!
I hate seeing perfectly serviceable lanterns go to waste, especially when they‘re not even that old. If anything, I blame the manufacturers for not making LED gear trays for their older discharge lanterns. I know Indo Lighting makes them, but it would be nice to see some officially released from Philips, Schréder, Thorn, etc.
@@thelightingenthusiast Philips do LED gear trays for their newest HID lanterns (Arc, Iridium etc). Quite expensive though as they'd rather authorities buy their new LED lanterns instead
The leds are horrible and don’t last and are bad for our health, and how stupid are the replacement crew just hammering off old fixtures rather than unscrewing them 😢

So it's possible to get a flatter light sauce now. There's me thinking the oblong changing to the round led one being the newest design.
Shame that they replace lanterns like this when they’re still quite modern. The Philips Iridiums must have only been about 10 years old.

You should have saved it 😭
Aha im also based in east sussex 🤣
They should had slacked the screws 😭😢 not hammering it off like to see them try hammering a LED fitting!
So the bloke at the bottom with the most risk of injury from falling objects doesn’t think he needs a hard hat.
Why the hell is he hammering it.
Yeah they aren’t very clever at all.
When you forget you can just unscrew them
Kayleb i knew you would of commented on this video 😂
