  • First we are going to talk about the Do’s and then we are going to talk about Don’ts. Always keep in mind before attending an interview you dress up smartly, neat formals and polished shoes and make sure you carry your resume and everything is ready. Before you are attending an interview say you received a call letter and you have an address make sure you know that you know the place night before if you have time it is always recommended or I would advise you to go to the venue and check the right route to the place. Be ready a night before the interview. You have to keep your resume in place and you have to keep your cover letter ready and keep your documents ready. You have to get printouts for certain documents that they asked for .make sure you have all these things one night before the interview itself and when an interviewer is asking questions make sure you have multiple points. If he is asking a single question do not give a direct answer. When he is asking a question make sure that you have to 3-4 points in each and every thing that he asks you. If you have a habit of carrying smart phone it is always recommended when you attending the interview make sure your phones on silent and I preferably tell please switch off your mobile phones and laptops and everything before you go for an interview. Always have a positive approach, and when you are talking to the interviewer it is just a conversation and do not get emotional and do not talk your personal matters there and keep it very professional if he is asking you question answer to the question. Never ever get emotional during the interview. The most important point is you are going there to sell yourself. You are going there to sell your skills. Make sure you put across all the points and all the positive points about you to the interviewer and say yes I would be the right person to fit for this job, this opportunity is given to me I would be able to do all these things and never say I think I am right fit for this job. Never say things like that. Always say I can do it and I will do it.
We saw what are the Do’s for the interview now the next thing we are going to see the don’ts for the interview. Always keep in mind when you are talking to the interviewer do not use slang word or do not use native words like ahh,k .. Lot of people have this multi lingual accent .so make sure when you are talking to the interviewer do not use any kind of slang words. Maintain professionalism always also you can watch our body language video from Freshersworld.com in order to develop our Body language. How to sit , how to enter into the room , how to shake hands and all these things are taught in body language video from Freshersworld.com and make sure you follow that and keep that in your mind before you attend the interview and we all know honesty is the best policy when the interviewer is asking the question. Make sure you do not lie to them because you are always getting caught with your eye moments and interviewers are very keen on noticing your eye moments and your hand gestures. So when you are lying to them you can easily get caught. Make sure you ever never lie to the interviewer always be honest and tell this is what I have and this is what I am and they surely like that rather than accepting a lie and lot of people have tendency they tend to think that they are overconfident before attending to the interview. Say they have a very bad attitude while talking to the interviewer ,yes I know all these or I have done all of these so make sure you are not at all over confident and you sound very humble to interviewer and remember in one of our videos we told about commonly asked questions in that we spoke about walk me through your resume and lot of people have the tendency they just read out their resume. They don’t just talk they just what do you say they have their resume ,reading the resume from that ,so make sure when you are talking to the interviewer it is just a conversation you don’t have to be like a robot just reading what is there in the resume. Make sure you explain them sale yourself as I always told you in previous videos as well sell yourself properly so that interviewer thinks that you are not a robot. I would always suggest to have a smooth conversation and always keep in mind these are the interview tips that you should have the DO’s and DON’TS of an interview.

"Do not read the resume". Tough if you don't have the competency in English?
