this is probably my 50th time watching this series and honestly it’s the best. breaking the stereotypes against teenagers, that all we do is sit on our computers and we never go out, but this proves that not every teenager is like that. the first time i watched this it made me realise how beautiful oregon is, and now, going there and hiking broken top is first on my bucket list. thanks to this beautiful series, you’ve made me appreciate travelling so much more, and have inspired me to go outside tons more, no matter how dangerous it can be sometimes, thank you :)

Brooke is right, though. Videos about people that had to be rescued always say that the number one thing people do when things go wrong is step off the trail too far. It looks like an easy climb down, or you walk away from the trail to go to the bathroom and then realize you don't know which way goes back to the trail. Use the buddy system if you have to pee on a hike - one person stands on the trail, you walk away but stay within shouting distance of them. If you get turned around heading back to the trail, stop and start shouting. Or just pee closer to the trail and don't worry about people looking. Who cares, everyone pees.

i was in a riptide 2 years ago. 40 feet deep and in a swimsuit. if i was in there for a few more minutes i would’ve died from hypothermia but a life guard came on his boat and saved me and the girl i was with.

If this story as made into a movie, it would be nothing but pure Razzie material. Boring, uneventful, and generally pointless. 2. Need and desire (Desire to get the drone)
3. Unfamiliar situation (hiking the mountain and getting stuck)
4. adaption (accepting that you're stuck)
5. Get what they wanted (Gets the drone and gets to safety)
6. But pay the price (idk? Trauma?)
7. Return to comfort (returning to her house and stuff)
8. Having changed (Has to live with the memory, and knows the risk of mountains)
All bad things aside- this looks like a freeking movie

If this story as made into a movie, it would be nothing but pure Razzie material. Boring, uneventful, and generally pointless. It is enough of a story to make a mildly entertaining 20 minute youtube video, but if you were to try and stretch this over a 90 minute runtime it would be a disasterous flop.

this is a very important video THANK YOU for making it! so many people get lost in the wilderness and never come back. and people come up with all these conspiracy theories. but this video shows it really is that easy to get dangerously lost and even die at the drop of a hat. like the story of those two women in Panama...
