Ghost heart right? 🖤 Please tell me you watched MMG's video, it's SO good! Who would have thought a technique called the 'Turkey pour' would turn out so cool!
Absolutely watched both and they're both so good in totally different ways :) I love the black n white theme!! That was my son and my sisters request...mostly black, some white and for my sis a small splash of red, for my son a splash of blue. But you guys did awesome! It can be so hard, for me anyway, to not have tooooooo much grey.. But these both were gorgeous! :)
I love those black like shadow veins... so cool. I seriously love your cloud pour. I watch 4 fluid artists faithfully, you, Marci, Rinske, and Molly... someday I will have room to give fluids a try. But in the meantime I'm just a huge fan!! ❤❤❤ Laura m 🦋
MelyD, this black and white has so much depth. I love your expression of it reminding you of a heart..I immediately saw the same thing. Thanks for what you do. Be well and stay safe!
JUST LOVE this one simple yet complex!...love the negative space....it’s screaming ‘do me on a larger canvas’ same technique same colors ...so happy you’re back....just ignore negative comments... do your own thing, remain who you are, stay true to yourself...you’re too talented...never give up...and stuff it (to put it politely) anyone that doesn’t appreciate what you do.
👍👍 I'm so Happy to see you again!! You have been on my mind ever since your UA-cam message!!! I really Love this piece alot too!! I was not expecting all of its Awesomeness!!! Please Keep on Keeping on!!!! Looking forward to the next Awesome and Amazing video from YOU!!! 🖤💜🖤💜🖤💜🖤
Watched BOTH videos and WOW! Love your Ghost Heart, MelyD and Mixed Media made a cool turkey pour with my favourite ready-mix pour paint. I've been a fan of both your work and so thrilled that you came together at this time to inspire us all. Love you!! You ROCK!!!
I love watching a good collab! At first I wasn’t sure if I liked the negative space, but as I kept looking and deleting my expectations-I just liked it more and more. It makes the white structures look so much more important. I’m going to use more black and white on my channel.
I know! I found there was a lot too. That's why I tried adding another one but looking at it after... I found it better with the negative space. It makes the ghost heart so dominent. Thank you!!
@@MelyDartist Really great work. And I'm glad that you decided to keep doing this. Because if you decided to stop & weren't here. I would miss you alot.
That is so interesting and enlightening to see both puddles reacting so differently side by side to each other. Thank you for all your great experiences and once again for a very elegant, unique and beautiful painting!!
MMG sent me, so glad she did!! LOVE the black and white, both of them, and they are SOOOOOO different and SOOOOOO COOL. Ghost Heart sounds like a great title for that one.
I *love* black and white paintings. They have such power. Your work is very interesting here, Mely. The ghost heart (perfect name, btw!) is airy and lacy and full of puffy detail, while the corner pour is much more graphic and linear. The negative space works so well! (I might have been tempted to pour off the corner and move the ghost heart a tiny bit up, but that's just me. 😉 ) I hope you'll show this piece again once it's resined! 🤍🖤
I would have moved it up too Susan, I just didn't have as much control on the positioning as usual because of the thickness of the paint. I could move it but then the rest got destroyed. It was a particular one and will look much better once varnished and resined. Thank you :)
I so enjoyed listening to your critique of this great painting. I like the negative space. Seeing the heart is right on. Resin would be spectacular for this piece. I watched Mixed Media girl video. What fun the Turkey Pour is. Will try it with my grandson. Maybe both of our hands to see how that would work out. Bigger canvas thou.
I LOVE THIS! I love seeing the difference between the types of paint and the reactions! So cool how different paint and different ratios create different effects. And I also love love love the negative space! My eye is drawn between them in a really interesting way, there’s an interesting relationship between them. Great work ❤️
I'm so glad to feel your joy back in your art!! You were my inspiration to start pours and it helped me sooo much. I needed an outlet and you gave it to me. Thanks my friend. Keep up the beautiful work.. waiting on the next as always 💜💜☁️pours are awesome ☁️
Wow, so interesting the difference between them. I would have expected that satin enamel with satin enamel would have created an explosion; so it's the satin enamel mix encountering normal paint that causes the reaction. I did try putting the satin enamel in lots of the colours in one of my paintings and was really disappointed that hardly anything happened, cloud effect wise. This explains it. Thanks Mely for helping me to understand this. This is a stunning painting and the black negative space is perfect. 💖
That is exactly it Alison you understand perfectly. I remember the first time I tried both satin enamels I was disappointed because nothing happend and I too was expecting an explosion. They cancel each other out basically. When you think about it, black vs white, it does make sense. The fact that its so powerful, it reacts with normal paint and cancels each other out. I've realized that a lot of highly concentrated paints react like this. Accept for Golden.. Thank you for watching :)
Hi MelyD. I am only at the part in the video where you have started stretching the two sections and you're not wanting to loose the paint on the smaller circle. I hope you don't mind but may I suggest you work this one pour at a time and see what it does and when there is not too much paint there, then you can add the other pour and work that. You won't loose your shape effect as you can focus on one pour at a time. I have seen this technique done by Cathleen of COZ Creations, she has done some absolute $&)(@ awesome pours this way, it give you more control of where you want things to be on the canvas 😜💕 Anyway back to watching you finish this piece. LOVE minimalist art. The negative space is what makes this piece a statement. It speaks of control, restraint and those faint shadows in the black around the edges of the shape are WOW. I actually couldn't see them when the paint was wet, but my oh my freaking terrific. This really is a powerful peace in its minimalism. This is something you can look at for ages. The black negative space gives your eyes somewhere to rest, it's non aggressive. Cheers give Cathleen a look, I'm sure you would appreciate her technique and think some of how she does things is smart. This is the title of one where she does what I mentioned above Acrylic Pouring Art with Muted Coloured Enhancements.
Thank you again for carrying on. You have been an inspiration of mine, especially in the last few days when I have started to paint again. I struggle a lot due to physical health problems and it takes it out of me to paint but it helps my anxiety. I love your art work it's so beautiful and I aspire to be as good as you.
Ghost heart right? 🖤

La La Roche Art I was thinking the same thing. I wanted to fill the space. But then it grew on me. 🙂
