Ryan you said we haven't seen a running back like Love for a long time. I don't know what your definition of a running back is but if I'm not mistaken, last year we had Audric Estime who wasn't too bad!
Faison is the biggest X factor. If he can make big plays in the passing game and provide Leonard with a reliable target that’ll open up the run big time
With Mills, Botelho, and King out it's impossible to believe that Onye would not step back in to help if he were allowed. The Onye deal must be very serious academic or something ethical that thoroughly disqualified him because if it were emotional/psychological he would be debilitated by not returning to battle with his brothers
I guess I've gorwn accustomed to Love on offense and Watts on defense showing up with huge games most every week, especially in big games. For Notre Dame to definitely win on Jan 1st, I think we need guys to come up huge that are not usually stars. With your same 2 offense, 2 defense format: Leonard- obviously they need hom yo be steady and effective, but his run game will need to be good to open up the oass game. Greathouse: as our only real dynamic/but target, they need a big play ot big TD, and Greathouse would be unexpected at this point(smh at why he only gets 2 touches a game). A huge difference maker for the offense would be 4-5 catches for 80-100 yards and a big play 20+ yard TD. Tone set that we can pass!(Which could allow the run game to steam roll) Defense Edge rusher- either Sneed or Bryce Young(or both combined) need to take the pressure off of the DTs, and also help contain the edge (RBs amd mobile QB). Shuler; assuming Watts plays excellent as always, Shuler being a menace against the run and pass, maybe getting an INT would be huge. As Ryan noted, there will be a lot of action over the middle (TEs, RBs, QB running), Shuler and Watts being dominant could make the difference.

freeman needs to put his best athletes on the field to try to win this game. i'm talking about sneed, ausberry, young, thomas, KVP if he's healthy. you are not going to beat georgia with guys like kiser, burnham, rubio, ect....
As a Niners and Bryant Young fan, love to see Bryce Young go off against the Dawgs.
My x factor is jaylen sneed. I could see him making a couple of difference-making plays either as an edge rusher or an off ball linebacker.

Sneed needs to be a man and dominate off the edge
Also Sneed needs to step up since he was the one who ran in Rylie Mills's leg.

Haven’t seen an athlete at the position like Love. Estime was a great back, but Love is a different breed of athlete.
