Honestly fire take. It's just kind of ironic that everything Mappa creates these days looks the exact same and focuses so much on realism that it almost gets boring. Everyone has their own style ofc, it's just that as an artist seeing stylization in anime especially Trigger Studio's work is always so amazing to see, its like you can see the passion seeping out of the project and I loved chainsaw man but as a manga reader it just...kind of got boring? Like everything just seemed so much dim and dull compared to the manga and it wasn't fun just seeing my favourite manga in a more boring format. It was beautiful of course! But after a few episodes it just didn't seem that fun to watch when I knew the story and already knew what kind of execution to expect from the rest of the show. It's sad but in other shows I love seeing the adaptions because I just want to see how these animators execute a manga they are so passionate about. Its weird because the endings were AMAZING, like I still watch them. but they literally have more flavour than the actual show. genuinely believe they shouldve done the whole show in the style of the Maximum the 100's ed style. Thats just my opinion though ^^ Wishing the guy luck on his new studio

Love good animation of course, but when you're adapting a story I can't exactly enjoy it with whats traditionally considered good animation ^^ In my eyes, good animation with a show is one that elevates the source material and builds on what already made the story great. That's just me though Also if I'm not wrong the person in the short is a director, not an animator so it's not about good animation, it's about good execution/lh

@@pp2475 I agree it's only my taste though. It's not that I dislike his style of direcring, it's just that I don't think it worked with the chaotic vibe of Chainsaw Man that well honestly. And I don't think kids are the only one who enjoy colourful visuals. You can get so creative with colours when it comes to visuals and it takes many years trying to figure how to work with them in a way where you can express a certain emotion ro rhe audience And I'll be honest I'm not a fan of fight scenes in general so I can't really comment on if Ufotable's animation style is bad ^^ But I do agree some studios make it way too overwhelming when trying to seemingly show off in a scene
