My late wife, may she rest in peace, loved you Aaron! We used to sing your songs together and they are the happiest memories I have! She died loving this country, her family, and God. I may have gotten it backwards in the scheme of things. But she did not. I miss her, and still love her, three years later, I still miss her, and my country! I Pledge allegiance, to the Flag, of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, One Nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for All! That is the real Pledge of Allegiance! Not the fake one that is taught now.

Aaron is the last of the cowboys. I first met him in 1998 and he's been the exact same person for 24 years. No, scratch that, hes a better person now than ever. I always pledge allegiance to the flag as a kid, every morning. Then I grew up and thought it sounded fascist, almost like a communist chant, then I really paid attention and felt the words in the pledge and I'm very proud to pledge my allegiance to OUR country. The country my family and friends have fought and died for. Our politicians rarely get it right, but it's most important that We The People, get it right, and force these politicians WHO WORK AND WHO ARE PUT IN POWER BY US, it's our job to force them to get it right, on our behalf. Thank you for always being a kind and gentle soul, Aaron. You fuckin rock bro!!!

@@joejones6764 How is that? I grew up in the music industry and take music seriously, sometimes to an uncomfortable, personal level. I've met tons of real fuckin sellouts, Im not gonna start naming them bcuz Im not gonna promote their shit. But Aaron is not in that category. not even close. I was with Mike, Aaron and old School last September in North Carolina and the only thing thats changed is theyre more mature and have more money to buy shit they want or need. Aaron has a really nice truck thats built for offroading that he drove from his home to the show a few hours away. When I saw him, he gave me a huge hug and said "what the fuck is up? I play in your city all the time and leave tix at the will call for you and you never pick them up. Is evrything good with you? Hows your family? Whos this lovely ;lady with you?" This is my Fiance. *I introduced them* and we spent a long time hanging out, catching up and signing autographs, taking pics with fans (bcuz the 4 day festival was canceled. The next day my homies from P Roach and Shinedown decided to grab their acoustic guitars and walk over to where thousands of fans had been camping and were bummed out bcuz the show was canceled, and played an impromptu acoustic show, no amps, no mics, no egos. It was epic. I dont hangout with sellouts and I know for a fact you cant give me one honest reason why Aaron is one. Have a great week!

I'm from the Midwest, my Father was a Marine, we said The Pledge EVERY morning in grade school, my daughters can shoot a gun and hold their own and I think it's DISGRACEFUL, especially on Vets Day, what this "government" has allowed "values" to be accepted and what RIGHTS are being threatened! At least a few guys like Aaron have the platform and balls to say something! Well done! TY to ALL Veterans, deployed or not, you made a difference!
I work in construction (electrician. proud IBEW member) worked a job a few years ago and every morning we said a prayer and the pledge of allegiance. The job sucked but the contractor was awesome

I graduated from high school in 1980 from first geade to 12th grade we said the pledge every morning. My dad fought in the south Pacific my father in law was in the Atlantic if it hadn't been for this generation we could have been pledging to the Japanese or German flags. And thats to all the soldiers keeping us free now

I too read out of the same book as you Aaron ,my father was a World War II veteran, my uncle was killed at the battle of coral sea. I was taught to love my flag and love my country. I still to this day cannot pass a flag, if it’s touching the ground. I PICK IT UP!

@@steveb5195 ; thank you for those kind words and a wonderful comment. My father told me to love the flag. My sisters who have a different father, just do not understand why I would do that. As I would probably throw punches with somebody. Not probably absolutely would, if I seen someone doing anything to desecrate our wonderful flag. It’s sad to say these past few new generations, I have absolutely no clue how important that flag is to some of us. Again thank you. Unfortunately I never met my uncle, but my dad did instill very good patriotic morals within me.
