An extended version of the original boss theme of Persona 1 (that is, the PS1 version).
Personally, I like this way better than Bloody Destiny, but that's just one example of liking the PS1 tracks better, while I do prefer some of the PSP songs (like how I prefer A Lone Prayer to the PS1 version's normal battle theme).
Anyway, keep watching for a certain surprise to a certain LP of this game that's currently going on at the time of this upload!

I always liked the touch that the boss theme itself doesn't start playing in battle until you hit a button to go into the battle menu.....Just like the older games in the SMT universe.

Strange Journey and IV does that as well.
Indeed it does. I've just always liked that decision design-wise. particularly in the older games, it made the music more a part of the experience since it would change depending on what you were doing.
@@yazarc It was also a good indicator, if you heard the battle theme as soon as the battle starts, you know you ain't gonna bargain that one out.

Now THIS song is SMT. The start up, the actual fight theme, all of it gives off that true Shin Megami Tensei smell.

It was made with the intention of being different. Hence a spin off.
I'm just saying the classic music was better and captured the atmosphere. Unlike the remake. It had ONE good track.
Which was the Final boss theme- yet was only appropriate for the second form.
But the remake still has non-black Mark.
But Lone Prayer kinda nullified that advantage
the psp theme is just too persona 3 for my liking, but this... imagine you are figthing demons in school, and then there's rick wakeman in a corner playing keyboards... it's just awesome.

Well....It's not that P3 had a bad soundtrack...neither did SMT:Persona(PSP),but it just didn't fit the game,from what i've heard
It's not that it didn't fit, it's more that a lone prayer is repetitious and doesn't fit. All the other songs fit ok, just not as well as these do.
There is a patch that replaces the remake music with the original soundtrack.

The PSP remake is good but I find it very unfitting for persona 1. I honestly wish Meguro made a remake of the original Boss battle theme. But nope, he just wanted to show us how big his donger was. :\

Bloody Destiny should have been a mini boss theme because it doesn't fit if your fight someone like Kandori. The main boss theme should have been something like this.
Nah, this should've been promoted to just Kandori's boss theme.

As for the VA, I would love a mix of Yukino, Masao, Kei, and Reiji from the PSP version, mixed with Brown, Ayase and Eriko from the original. As for the other two, they both served their purpose in both, so I'm impartial on that one.

I've been a HUGE Persona fan since it came out 1996! I have more liking to Persona 1 and 2 on PS1! These song's were made better my opinion in terms of emotion-Sounds like a true fight! Now listen to this and read the manga's boss fights-Your watching an anime LOL ^^
As someone who has mainly played the newer Persona games, and has only recently started playing Persona 1 on the PSP, really wish we got this theme instead.
I can picture mark summon his persona that's your know battle music is good that you can feel your in that environment

Oi, i do love original Boss theme very much, but Bloody Destiny is untouchable.
I feel like:
Deadline fits this game more, due to its incredibly edgy and crazy guitar and melody coinciding with how P1 has rather dark themes. But,
Bloody Destiny has lyrics that are probably so edgy that I accidentally cut my arm on them, and the music is way too catchy to be true. Like, Ultimate Destruction catchy. So,
I feel that both songs are great, but Deadline fits this game more.
Thx for this upload, I couldn't stand the new OST's Bloody Destiny. I was hoping for the PSP remake to @ least have Deadline and some remastered BGM tracks I liked, but that never happened *sob* T_T.
Revelations will always be the best for me, I didn't even mind the repeatative random encounter theme.
The messed up part is that a remake of this theme was in the remake of Persona 2:Eternal Punishment, the one that WASN'T released in the US
