I’ve been obsessed with Band of Skulls since I first heard Light of the Morning in a Ford Mustang commercial many years ago. I immediately looked up who they were and bought every album they’ve made, since. Russell Marsden, Emma Richardson, and Matt Hayward… some of the best musicians and songwriters ever.
*Only The Great Ears Of Sound Found This Band & It's One Amazing Secret That Billions Will Never Find Out About...Great 14 Years Ago & Will Always Be Great To The End Of Time.*
I don't really know bout you guys, but they do have a sound going on that makes you remind them of other bands. BUT what makes them so good/special is that they still have their own touch in it, which is much better than just another carbon copy of a great artist/band
Im glad I found Band of Skulls, been over a year listening to them, they are awsome live, sound just like the album, and this song is beautiful....I love chicks that play bass,mmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
watch they are gonna get so big, they are too good not to. then all of uswho nfirst found them are gonna be really happy and pissed at the same time haha. love you guys please keep playing

Randomly scrolling my playlist then I suddenly have the urge to listen to play this again, holy shit, it's may 12, 2019. 10 year anniversary of this upload. 😊 K tnx bye.
Band of Skulls consists of Russell Marsden (guitar, vocals), Emma Richardson (bass, vocals), and Matt Hayward (drums), who formed a band after they all met in college.
Hendrix/ Doors/ Nirvana/ Husker Du/ Kiss (Original) kinda feel. I like it. Like DarkAngel said, familiar but refreshing. Glad to see original music is still being made by indie "garage" bands.
@mp00027 No thats not me in a "doors" vid, i think you saw something i favorited, that's some guy in mexico lol. I'll get a vid soon, we just played it last night again.
You know I keep hearing how similar to the white stripes and such and such they sound like and they do, but I can shake the feeling that the guitar playing sounds very similar to Jonny Greenwood during the bends and ok computer era. Even some of the tracks have a radiohead ambiance to them. I hope they keep it up. They have the makings to be a great band.
Holy shit this is a fucking bad ass song. I hope they play this live on the 23rd. What can be better than Band of Skulls and Muse? Oh yeah, four nights of Band of Skulls and Muse!
@krazykalash yes i see what you mean. all kinds of rock music is disappearing. all the commercial stuff nowadays is...depressing. that music sucks. its not original. those artists jump around and look pretty, but bands like these are inspiring, and its real music.
This song is so effing good and Emma Richardson is so effing hot. I hope they continue to make compelling songs like this. While there are some standout tracks on the album, some of the songs are decidedly underwhelming compared to the album's bright spots, though the really good songs have that rare quality where you are instantly hooked the first time your hear them.
@phanattix xD yes his voice is a little how the voice from Jack white. I thought the same as you at the first time when I heard him singing... ( Is that right? I´m not so well in english xD)
@Kraush748 oh it fits...it means they've got enough scratch to form their own corporation or the initial supporting corporation has lost interest due to lack of profitability....we've all seen enough Nickelbacks and Creeds to know lol!

So gutted Band of Skulls aren't supporting the Muse gig I'm going to ):
@rushheadz As much as I love them, I have to agree with you. Maybe that's how they want to be perceived?
@mp00027 No thats not me in a "doors" vid, i think you saw something i favorited, that's some guy in mexico lol. I'll get a vid soon, we just played it last night again.
I don't know if which one is better to love,

GRANDISSIMI SKULLS
You know I keep hearing how similar to the white stripes and such and such they sound like and they do, but I can shake the feeling that the guitar playing sounds very similar to Jonny Greenwood during the bends and ok computer era. @EFFORTLESS7 sounds like solid logic to me.
@luv2laff11 Nice Pineapple Express reference as well.

@pennicles94 yeah they were amazing, right?
i mean in my opinion they were the best supporting band
Holy Cow! chills
Ahhhhhh!!! Lovitttt!!!
@EFFORTLESS7 All I said is that the verse sounds a whole lot like "Out On The Weekend". Correct me if I'm wrong.
TURN IT UP
@Kraush748 oh it fits...it means they've got enough scratch to form their own corporation or the initial supporting corporation has lost interest due to lack of profitability....we've all seen enough Nickelbacks and Creeds to know lol!
Dommage que le son de la guitare est mal réglé.
true that!
Rob Baty it’s “tru dat”
