Likely go to 10 safely with the stock limiter gone but yeah I'll agree I don't see it going 15 without some serious internals but in saying I don't know jack about Ferrari engines 👍🤣 Ryan Turqes f4586 (Toyota 86 with a 458 engine in it) they rev that to over 10k and it's stock apart from custom headers 🤔
The rev line on a 612 engine is 7500 rpm so I would love to know what they plan to do to their engine internally to go even 1000 rpm above that! and it ran a 6 speed manual or F1 box not a 10 speed. Keep it factual guys not fantasy. Great Project.
@@dreadmelineage2315 No its not, its a road car engine from a 612 which is the same as one from a 575. Nothing at all to do with v12 F1 engines. everything on that stock drivetrain tails off after it hits the 7500 rpm rev limit, so no point what so ever revving it any higher.
@MT-Guitars no that is my bad i was watching a different video moments before where someone bought a v12 f1 engine lol and wasn't even paying attention/ either way it could be built to rev rather high
This motor was never mated to a 10 speed of any sort. There were only 2 options for the 612 Scaglietti, a true manual 6spd or an paddle shift 6spd automated manual.

Pity you didn't put a dct box or manual behind it, and ide be thinking with the small power band the engine has it might need more than 2 gears, good to see progress 💪💪💪
I remember seeing a rotary revving up and the flywheel breaking off the engine and broke the drivers legs. It was HORRIBLE! High rpm and an un balanced flywheel is no joke.
450klmh with the 3.00's. 5.1's be still good 250klmh half that 2.55's 7500rpm 650hp I could be wrong but that's cracking along gears. Pretty sure Bathurst V8' run 3.00 gears at mountain, for a idea.

What a eppy, the Rod shop ledgens, then the auto guru Mr Rogers...what a treat...plus dominator convertors !! Those revs, and the gearing is very interesting never think of these things, as in Ferrari gearing etc..this is so interesting, longer eppy would be good nothing boring going on absolutely fantastic.. with a 5:1 diff ratio, it would be "cruising" at 4250rpm ish at 100kmh, is that needed for the drivability due to the 2 speed box? or will it get a gear vendors overdrive also?
Cheers from the states. I love this car, a 200 mph Torana. This vehicle needs to be displayed at SEMA. For anyone wondering about the engine specifications. I'd love to see it but I don't think 12k rpm is super realistic unless parts are being replaced really regular, happy to be wrong though.
This is sweet, I can't wait to hear the exhaust and see that thing go. 💯👌👍
