The fuzzy crackling went away before I did anything, which is poor timing. So I'll have to check back in hopefully some time, to see if this worked. I was about to roll back to the previous driver, but yea. As far as disabling all the audio enhancements... that really sucks the life out of the audio, in a way. In my case, installing an older Realtek LAN driver (version 10.28.615.2018) did it. Longer version: I'm on Windows 10 and using AMD's HDMI audio driver. I have the Realtek audio chip disabled in the BIOS. LatencyMon pointed the network driver as the source of the problem. Tried changing the power settings (both OS's and LAN driver), as well as a few other things. To no avail. Removing the current Realtek LAN driver and installing the previous version solved the constant audio problems.
When you would watch a YT video would it sound distorted and stutter? Or even on Groove or Media player? I'm having this exact problem, and it's going through to my HDMI as well. I'm trying to record music and can't do a thing. Idk how to fix this.
Right click on sound icon click on "open sound settings" a popup will appear on the right side under 'related setting' click on "sound control panel" and here you go.
I’ve only managed to have one problem with this, when you use the “advanced power settings” and you put it for high performance, My computer has no option to choose it and only shows the stuff above it and because of this, I still appear to have little static pops during my time. How do I fix this?
You might find that the option is in a different place... mine was. Even the first sound popup menu on my laptop is not the same as the one shown here... there is no "sounds" option. I won't tell you how to find it as it makes no difference anyway. Best advice I can give you... switch to Linux. Windows 10 is a nightmare.

Lots of these options were grayed out for me on my new HP compact PC, but I just switched to the heaphone jack out to the stereo and that solved the issues for me.
I solved my problem of mouse and audio lagging, simply by formatting again! The first operation I did when opened for the first time the desktop, was to perform the installation of the chipset drivers, namely, the 'amd_chipset_drivers_am4_tr4'. I never turned on the internet until I finished this installation! Don't let other processes install chipset drivers instead of the originals! I installed everything else normally after that. I found that, in my case, the problem lay in the conflict with the chipset drivers. My pc: MSI X570-A PRO Rysen 7 3700x GTX1070
AUTOBiT hiw do you install them without network? I used DDU and booted into safe without network and it wouldn’t let me boot the AMD driver exe. i done it in safe with networking in the end but my latency is still very badly in the red and i’m still getting PC stutters. This started happening when i replaced my mobo b450 tomahawk max and my cpu 3700x. I’ve also tried going on the MSI website and doing their driver install that automatically uninstalls and then restarts pc and installs directly from them. This also didn’t make a difference
yo so recently i noticed when ever im listening to music or i lower the volume it kinda pops and low static sound. it also happens when i click off the video so idk what it could be
Doo Kasso yeah i went to control panel: sound: recording, chose my mic: advanced: I put the Hz and quality all the way down. It stops the noise. I don’t remember exactly cuz it was a long time ago but I hope this helps
Wooooow. Changing it to 16 bit seems to have solved my problem. Thank you so much for this. I was going fucking insane with that darn clicking noise. I thought I had a faulty motherboard since that's where my audio comes from. lifesaver edit: nevermind. it had returned :/ it seems to be better when i restart my computer but comes back after a while
i use an audio interface and i recently updated my BIOS and the popping noises, what would you recommend me to try? is the same as you did in the video?
Speakers properties is missing with the recent Windows 10 update to 1930 or whatever the service pack update number was. Anyways, dealing with crackling and just noticed that there isn't the option for "sounds" when I select the sound icon anymore and I also can't locate it by typing "speakers properties" in the search field either... blahhhh just started having random audio crackling issues today.

This is the first video I watched and 95% of the problem is solved. Thumbs up!
Easy to follow and super-informative as usual Brian. Thank you very much! 👍
I had been experiencing this problem, mostly after I updated to Win10 2004 Version. Turns out I needed to update my audio driver as a new update was released for Win10 2004. Thanks for all the help!!! :D
I am glad you showed folks that programme. Better latent than never! Good and informative video.
Thanks William
Thank you very much. It worked for me. Just did only 1:57
You never fail us , our company is doing migration for windows 10 , Thanks for this education video, More more more Windows 10 , More power to your channel your really the bestest...💯💯💯
You're welcome Adrian, glad i could help.
unticking "allow apps to take exclusive control" seems to have worked for me. weird that would fix it, but it did. Thank you!
non of it work i still hear Crackling effect on my win 10 pro /asrock x370 taichi
did you ever fix the problem? i just upgraded to ryzen 3700x on this board and audio is crackling.
I don't think its a hardware issue. My mobo is Gigabyte Sniper B7, it was working fine last year, just after a recent Windows update, this shit started. I've tried almost all the solutions I found on the web, none worked. Still searching though.
Mustafa Bepari Same man, just updated it a couple days ago and it started for me too!
@@SethKingFilms I went to my motherboard manufacturer's website and downloaded the latest driver, and installed it. So far I haven't faced any issues, but very small crackles did occur a few times. Hope that helps.
Mustafa Bepari I went to my sound controls and changed the quality to CD quality and it worked actually.
For me the allow applications to take exclusive control was what helped me fix it. Tysm
Worked only for a little while. Back to popping/crackling still.
Same...
You fixed it! 🎉 Thank you. I can’t believe I didn’t do this months ago
Thanks for this, I’ve been having sound issues for nearly a week which is a pain when mixing in ableton live daw but this video has cured my pc thank you so much 😀👍😎

@@LowEndMarauder Thank you but I don't see Additional Device Properties anywhere.

Another informative video!! Thanks, Brian -- you're the best!
Thanks
Lots of these options were grayed out for me on my new HP compact PC, but I just switched to the heaphone jack out to the stereo and that solved the issues for me.
I got this issue along side the newest update for windows 10.
My pc:
MSI X570-A PRO
Rysen 7 3700x
GTX1070
AUTOBiT hiw do you install them without network? I used DDU and booted into safe without network and it wouldn’t let me boot the AMD driver exe. i done it in safe with networking in the end but my latency is still very badly in the red and i’m still getting PC stutters. This started happening when i replaced my mobo b450 tomahawk max and my cpu 3700x. I’ve also tried going on the MSI website and doing their driver install that automatically uninstalls and then restarts pc and installs directly from them. This also didn’t make a difference
yo so recently i noticed when ever im listening to music or i lower the volume it kinda pops and low static sound. it also happens when i click off the video so idk what it could be
yo same! I don't really know what to do with it it doesn't seem to fix. :/
@@esviar347 you fixed already or not >?
Doo Kasso yeah i went to control panel: sound: recording, chose my mic: advanced: I put the Hz and quality all the way down. It stops the noise. I don’t remember exactly cuz it was a long time ago but I hope this helps
@@esviar347 didnt help :(
Doo Kasso oof
Cheers my friend! Worked like a charm! Thought my laptop was broken. Sounds all fixed, many thanks.
It doesn't help tho
The popping noise is still there.
what did you do then?
@@afnan9940 cry
Yep, this video is not a fix, This is just normal things to click around, might help one or few, but now the massed that have real problems.
Thanks, buddy.
And, you just earned a new subscriber. You are a true saviour.
Wooooow. Changing it to 16 bit seems to have solved my problem. Thank you so much for this. I was going fucking insane with that darn clicking noise. I thought I had a faulty motherboard since that's where my audio comes from. lifesaver
edit: nevermind. it had returned :/ it seems to be better when i restart my computer but comes back after a while
1:30 I dont have Enhancements menu there, just the other 4.
same :C
but I dont have the "enhancements" tab is my speaker's properties
same what should we do?
just bought a new laptop and that crackling was driving me nuts. switched to high performance and the crackles are now gone. thank you so much!
My solution ended up being to unplug my mousepad
LoL i first read your comment as, u buttplugged your mousepad.
Chris my solution was to desactivate microphone
Nailed it. Changed to "Old School" and boom. Thanks, been working on this issue for a while.
Too much audio popping I can't understand a word.

Awesome - thanks it was the enhancement settings (did all of your first half of the video). HP pages are hopeless!
fancy making a video , speaking on a subject that everyone has a crackling sound lol so people with said crackling sound cant hear you
THANK YOU. Fixed in the first 2 min of the vid. you got my sub.
i use an audio interface and i recently updated my BIOS and the popping noises, what would you recommend me to try? is the same as you did in the video?
Speakers properties is missing with the recent Windows 10 update to 1930
or whatever the service pack update number was. Anyways, dealing with crackling
and just noticed that there isn't the option for "sounds" when I select the sound icon
anymore and I also can't locate it by typing "speakers properties" in the search field
either... blahhhh just started having random audio crackling issues today.
