We have had many wonderful times together but hes an addict. He is a combat veteran with PTSD which led to him self medicating with cocaine. He was clean from Nov 2019 until about 5 months ago. Since this past December its been this constant cycle but I have stuck by him through thick and thin... literally you name it, we've been through it. But I've always refused to give up on him. Lately though I have reached the end of what I feel I can handle and still be the mother our babies deserve and need. I am reaching a point where I need to let him go and focus on my mental health my our children and if he chooses to save himself for them, he will. If there was ever a sign from God telling me what to do, this is it. Thank you Reba.

Inevitably singers decline in their abilities as they get older. Often they're doing their music on stage and they're appreciated for the history they bring rather than the actual performance. But Reba still has game! New music, dynamic, lyrically complicated, pitch, power, stage presence....all still there. That's the level of talent and drive in this woman, and that's why she's the Queen!.

I'm not saying you might not love her sound just as much, but, just like literally every other person who gets old, her voice doesn't have the same range or clarity. It is highly unlikely she could sing "You Lie" or "What If" very well anymore. I've seen her live every single year she has toured for the last 25 years, she struggles more than she used to, she missed notes a lot more than she used to. That's all I'm saying.

The more I listen to this song, the more I'm reminded of the toxic relationships in my past. I used to have a somewhat toxic relationship with my mom, dad, some friends, etc. This song is inspiring and it tells me it's ok to look out for myself because I never had the chance to look out for myself for many years....from teenager even into young adulthood. Finally in my thirties, I am beginning to have some agency in my life. I'm not afraid to cut off toxic relationships and go no contact if needed. I had to do it for awhile because my dad didn't understand where I was coming from and it hurt my mental health to be around him but it cost me not being able to have a relationship with my half brother (he's special needs, lives with my dad for that reason) and it was the hardest year of my life...but I learned a lot about myself during that time. I'm still learning about myself. So I'm thankful for this song, Reba's music as a whole since many of her songs have helped me get through so many bad times. Reba will ALWAYS be the queen of country music to me. Her vocals are legendary,...she is legendary.
