Pls do the beard with it too :O
haha close to mah colour but NOT ENUFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
I don't know Chris whit those colour lines on your tv and that hair you look kind of LOL
Dude those meetups that you describe sound so much more appealing now we're all stuck in this quarantine...
As a newer practitioner of the magical and cardistral arts, at the ripe old age of almost 29, I appreciate the hell out of your work and energy Chris, much love from Ireland! :)
This is visually fucking my brain because I seem to do both cuts with fairly different, yet subtle motions. I thought my revolution work was ok, but figured my double was off, I split the top pack like the hotshot cut, if that makes sense. Still working on stretching the pinky out to stop the pack from falling but it's getting there.
In fairness I'm full of whiskey right now so maybe I'm dong a completely different variation of them. I should go watch the rest of the video now. PEEECE!!!

God thx
praise thee
Thanks god
Tsex bro
I'm always fascinated at the material you can find UA-cam. Great intro and information!
I remember when you were at 300k. I leave YT for a few months and you are absolutely amazing, you are thriving! Love the editing BTW. Keep it up!
Thank you so much!! I've been tryong find a good explanation on a revolution for ages and nobody said to get your middle finger out of the way before pushing up the bottom packet!!! Literally made all the difference in the world.
I ve done the revolution cut before but not with the triple cut. Now i gotta learn something else! Damn you Chris lol, great video.
Yeah, I can do revolution cut really good, but with this triple cut I have some troubles. Not having as big hands as him might be also a clue, but I don't like to put in on hand size.
fantomas Me too. Can you do it now ?.
OMG Chris! Thank you for finally going over how to do a revolution cut. Your tutorials are the best. I've checked a bunch of rev cut tutorials before but, as with all of your tutorials, you covered the nuance-y stuff I got caught up in. Love your videos keep doing what you do.
Cool false cut! I discovered it myself by accident just a month ago. I call it the One-handed Multiple Packet False Cut. You can cut as many or as few cards at a time as you want, and complete the false cut with a Charlier or Rotation of the last packet as Chris shows.
Salut Chris! When I was a little boy, my grand father was doing magic tricks for us. I always wanted to do some myself but never did. Long story short, I also love puzzles like the one you show, in fact now I look at the price of the puzzle puzzles before watching your vides and if they are in my price range I first get them before watching you. And after watching more of your videos, I find cardistry so beautiful and mesmerizing that I bought a simple eco bycycle deck, and I am now practicing the Charlier and the Revolution Cut. Boy it’s hard but I see progress, and I now know that I have short fingers :-) Thanks man from a fellow Québecois from Montreal.
And a hundred subscribers died from epilepsy... Thanks for the tutorial :)
LOL
Chris Ramsay lol my life is magic no magic no no no lol magic no magic
I'm always fascinated by the hair colour people do to their hair on UA-cam!
And yay Cardistry tutorial!!
Brooo those backwards shots of the cut were soooo dope! I also love how the monitors go with the deck. Sick tie in
One of the most underrated ytbers

Just managed to pull this off after some practice and some adjustments. My advice for people with shorter fingers: When you do the first split, make sure to hold the top stack slightly higher up your index than Chris is showing. Another hack I learned is if you have trouble clearing the third split over your index finger (coz it's shorter) you can use your index and thumb to hold the second stack in place, use your three free fingers to split for the third stack by sliding some cards slightly down and right, then pivot the third stack with your pinky - third stack will rotate until it clears the index. Only then can you move the third stack down like in the video. It is important to put the second stack to as close to the tip of your index as possible and the first stack is not wobbly, otherwise you won't have enough space to clear the third stack over them. Proceed like the rest of the video. Enjoy. ;)
This saved me rage quitting on this. thank you
Chris you are the sole reason I have gotten into cardistry! I've always loved seeing card magic/ slight of hand sort of things, and after watching a video of yours I decided "YUP, I NEED TO LEARN HOW TO DO THAT!" lol anyways.....i am writing this to ask you to PLEASE start doing tutorials again🙏 thanks for inspiring me man👍
Chris it looks like that new hair gave you extra creative powers! Cause that intro was frickin sick!!
No one makes tutorials like you man... Crisp, detailed and funny at the same. Love ya CR ♠️♥️♣️♦️
I'm not a magician, not even that mush of playing cards guy. but I play a lot of different card games, and a fan of Magic the Gathering. Lately I've been noticing that a lot magic pro players also playy poker, so I've got into poker through mtg to have some kind of similar play but in a game that I could play with most of my friends at most occasions. Anyway, I got nice Bicycle 88, a regular blue back deck, but with jumbo index and it got destroyed by a careless friend of mine. Anyway, long story short I watched one video of yours and now I keep getting them recommended, but it's okay because you're so enthusiastic and passionate about your craft and cards, it's contagious and now I think as soon I have spare more I'll buy another deck to play games with people who won't bend the shit out of cards and mark edges and another deck to learn everything you can teach in terms of magic. So I guess it's a "maaan, you're cool and thanks for expanding my hobbie horizons, mang" kind of a comment. Cheers Chris, have a nice day
Been doing magic for 2 years. Most of what I know comes from this amazing channel. Thanks Chris
Your cardistry videos are helping me keep busy during quarantine, thanks man
woah i've been miserably failing a revolution cut with a quarter deck for about a week and I nailed it with your tip of pushing the deck forward with the ring finger .thanks a lot (PS : I have baby hands :') ]
Awesome! Love the hair idea...spent 100s of dollars when i was younger to have gray silver hair...all colours actually...My scalp is marked for life because of it.
Been RamFam for awhile, but this is prolly my fave vid so far and it's for... a Rev Cut?! A definite staple of Cardistry and usually one of the first 1Hs that people learn and yet your tut is so refreshingly new. Keep on keeping on, Chris. You're amazeballs, bro.
The reason I love watching your videos is because of the high quality videos you put up. Love the b-rolls and the effort you put in every video! Keep going strong Chris! 👌
can't quite extend my hand enough to get the top packet to clear and go below for the triple but I'll keep working at it and see if I can teach my baby hands to do this lol. nice tutorial! helped refine my revolution
GOD I WISH I LIVED IN NEW YORK RIGHT NOW!
I was hoping you would put up a tutorial for this move... and here we are...
These tutorials are awesome! Keep up the amazing work dude!
If anyone else had issues getting the top packet down to the bottom, i found that tilting the top two packets back to let it fall down is a lot easier that trying to stretch your hand an impossible distance.
Gotta get used to this LilChris look 😂😂
If you find this cut hard just remove some cards (1/4) of the deck and keep practicing.
Keep adding more cards tho once u get the hang of it :)
i have returned to this video more times than I can count. i have learned several tricks and slights from Ramsay but the revolution and the triple truly are my kryptonite. You make it look so easy!! Gah
I think you should do a video about card decks that you want to see made. Like, designs or new colorways or whatever that you think would look cool
For anyone not familiar with the revolution cut the way I learned it years ago was by practicing it 4 hours a day for 5 days straight while watching documentaries here on UA-cam. It's tricky, you're going to drop cards over and over, you will get frustrated but keep going. It's well worth it once you have it mastered and then you'll be doing ALL the time even without thinking about it. Good luck!
Same, still haven't got it down, but I surprise myself once in a while by actually completing it. So there's hope...
this shit is so hard. Just started a few days ago. Way harder than I thought. I thought my contorted guitar fingers would confer an advantage. Nope just work.
Kevin, I know how you feel! I play guitar as well and you're using your finger/hand muscles in a completely different way with this. I know with me when I first began learning it I had issues with clearing the top packet after the rotation because the corner kept catching because I didn't have that stretch yet. Also, it's important that you curl the index finger to get the top packet to drop onto the bottom. I made the mistake of flaring out my index when I first learned and had to retrain myself to curl instead. It wasn't that big of an issue, but it's better to learn correctly than have to make adjustments later on. Enjoy the practice!
I'm hooked. It fascinates me that there's such nuance to every little movement. The clearing was tough so I'm using 2/3 of a deck which helps. Thanks for the tip. I have a hard time lifting my middle finger. He wants to help out with stabilization! But I think I'm getting it slowly
Yes, that's the key word "slowly". It's like with guitar because as I am sure you know the more slowly you learn a complicated fast piece the faster and more smooth you become over time because you learned it correctly (slow) at first.
Good guy Chris; says he wont make a tutorial on the Charlier cut, ends up having a mini tutorial in this video anyways. Just stumbled in here on a youtube rabbit-hole trip, grabbed a deck and have just spent the last ~hour getting this kinda down lol. Thanks for the trip!
Okay Chris, just started cardistry and had trouble with the rev cut....1 of the pointers you did...did it for me... yeeeaaay \o/ finally nailed it. thx!!
I keep coming back to this video because I love the intro so much.
The thumbnail and intro actually look soooooooooo lit!!!!!!!! Bro I was so hyped for it by the time the video started!
Opened UTube to learn cardistry and the tutorial was awesome! I like these kind of tutorial
Looks so much better than a normal one handed cut or charlier pass
I always find it easier when tutorials are shown at POV style
The colours and the cards look really good together at thew start
Yes! More cardistry PLEASE!!
Hello Mr R I have been watching this channel for a while now I want you to know i thank you, your video have got me from stressed to crazy happy so thinks Chris .From south Africa bye bye 😇😇😇😇😇😇
Should definitely keep up the cardistry tutorials. They have been an amazing help in my learning. Thank you!
Am I dreaming?? Finallyh! Tutorials!!
That intro looked like an 80’ or 90’s cartoon intro. Love the Eminem hair and this tutorial. Thanks, Chris
Finally some cardistry tutorials. You should do more of these. Great work by the way
You are not the best cardist but you make the best tutorial for cardistry ive seen so far
wow, today is the day for cardistry tutorials, first oliver posted the retrigger tutorial, then this, lava by fucking brian and bachelor by micheal warneke. such a good day for cardists
Next thing you know, cardists everywhere are gonna bitch about teaching cardistry on youtube.
Jk, love this channel. NEVER CHANGE CHRIS
yo Chris, I absolutely love your cardistry tutorials. Absolutely enjoy the detail in your explanation.
Finally another flourish to learn
For those of us with fingers shorter than the short edge of a card, you'll need to modify the method a bit. You'll find it's physically impossible for the cards to pass each other by pushing the bottom half up with the ring finger. An alternative is by moving the ring finger around the short side and then grabbing the top packet without moving the bottom half at all. This will help get you the revolution cut, though it doesn't look as neat.
Thanks for this Chris! Learning cardistry was what bounced me towards your channel, have been following since. Love the puzzle videos and looking forward for more cardistry tips/tutorials. Thanks again for all the great content!
You can already start the triple cut off with the extending move, instead of going for the charlier opening. It looks kinda cool too as you start it off with this really big spreading move :)
I started cardistry a few days ago and have been watching ur vids love them keep it up. Thanks for the tutorial
I'll definately pull up to Fantasma this Saturday, not sure if I'm gonna FOOL you, but I'll be there to learn :)
Chris ramzy is back with tutorial s baby😎
thanks so much for this, I've been picking up cards from the floor the whole week but I'm starting to get it and it feels amazing
YO! We need more cardistry tutorials
Best intro of the channel so far. Amazing! Congrats
Definitely gonna be finding a deck to tote everywhere and just practice from now on
I liked it. I'm just as interested in moves like this (don't care to be able to do a Sybil but this is basic but flashy) as I am the magic tutorials. Also, might not have been a vlog but we watch for you as much as the tutorial so it wasn't rambling about the hair.
Ooh my I really can't manage to put the card package under the others whole holding one... Now I'm sitting here practicing it by learning (well trying to practice) the scissor cut and holding cards between first finger and pinky. Don't say your hands are too small. For some things (like a one handed pyramid) my hands are too small and I can't do anything. But in many cases, it just seems impossible. Just like the spring when you started out with cardistry. You were afraid you could hurt the cards and they flew all over the place. Bit more, it something you are doing subconsciously. Keep up!
thanks so much more this vid bro, got me started learning the charlier, rev cut, triple, and false triple almost a year ago
The day of the meet up is the day I’m in my high schools talent show sorry I can’t come but will be there in spirit
Yo Chris! Please hook up a meta video or two about your cinematography and editing - I'd love to see some of your workflow as your content is always amazing!
Hey Chris lovin' the hair! It sucks cause I'm in the New York area, but I'm gonna be busy this Saturday, no hard feelings, thank you for the great tutorial, and for sharing your knowledge with all of us. Wishing you the best for the future, hopefully we can get to 1 mil subs soon!
That tip to use an old card deck came a little bit late after trying for 3 days, using A PLASTIC DECK. My first cardistry ever .. still worked even with a plastic deck :P
Best tutorials online! Great channel! Thanks for the inspiration and for sharing your knowledge Chris!
Finally cardistry. More please😄
Had a dream the other night where I met you at a magic convention and you kept cringing because of how poorly I was shuffling cards. It was quite funny.
The editing is so trippy
your intros are ALLWAYS dope as f***
I love you man, but I still miss your magic tutorials! My life just became a little bit duller, just so you know. :) Much love!
The rev cut is a little bit different with the one that i know from another tutor, but thats great too🤟🏻
Jut bought my first 5 decks of cards because I stumbled across your channel :D
DAMN MY TINY LITTLE 12 YEAR OLD HANDS!
TUTORIAL MONDAY!!!!!♠️♦️♣️♥️ love ya Chris! You’re the best!
Chris Ramsay is the best
ALWAYS APPROACHING 1M!!!!!!
Hey Chris, I just wanted to thank you did getting me interested in magic, it has been a way for me to come out of my shell and find myself in the process. Keep doing what you do!
Love the hair btw
New hair styles and color is always fun. I think its gona look dope man! Thank you for another great video chris!
Finally your back with a tutorial 😎👐
You are a really good editor and look amazing at Cardistry.
Nice seeing the cardistry! Working on it right now!
ive found that for ppl with smaller hands instead of putting your ring finger on the short side of the cards you put it on the long side of the cards and put your pinky on the bottom.
Tis really helped me get the Rev cut down.
Its so difficult to come to New York, because I live in Europe in Luxemburg. But have much fun😉
Been practicing this for hours. My hand hurts now. xD
Cool move. It looks very similar to Dan and Dave's Kryptonite.
THANK YOU SO MUCH I couldn't understand why I was doing the revolution cut wrong until I saw this video
I just started to learn some cardistry. I am still very very clumsy, but it feels so great if you go from not getting the move at all to at least being able to perform it without spreading the cards all over the place :-)
I'm able to do the Charlier (have done for years without knowing the name), but I'm pretty sure you either need tiny card or GIANT hands to do this. There's just zero room for the bottom packet to come past the top one.
Chris i really love your style in magic so much. I try to acquire your style.....
That New York meetup sounds great!.... Too bad I live in Canada...
Yoooooo... love this false cut! I'd love to see more cardistry tutorials from u man
Came from school right to my phone to see this hype vid !
Nice combo of running charlier into rev cut :)
