    That's awesome! Keeping history alive by giving it propose and taking care of it. Rather than let it just fall completely apart. You will have a good story to tell. Thank you!

    Wow…. Look how that last entire wall fell and it didn’t bust up or break apart. How old is that building?.. no wonder y’all bought it and moved it. Your grandkids grand kids will be playing in that barn one day. Awesome.

      That barn was built in mid 1800’s, the log part I think is older than the crib could be back to 1840’s

    Bet you guys all slept good each night you spent the days doing this. Amazing to see the ingenuity you put forth to do this monumental task. Also amazing to see how sturdy that old wood still seems to be in spite of it serving its purpose for well over a century. You are honoring that barn and the people who built it by doing this mighty salvation.♥️

    I cannot believe how easy it was for you guys to get that house down piece by piece. At least this is one part of history that would live on . When I visit my son in Tennesseethere are so many old houses that have been abandoned . It makes me so sad shoe see them torn down part of history where someone lived and farmed and brought up there family . I love watching your family on UA-cam I just wish you were on more . God bless your family .

    So awesome to see an abandoned barn with those 100+ yo logs being re purposed to
    have a third life at another homestead. The cabin rebuild brought me to this channel & it is satisfying in deep way to see pioneer buildings living again & helping families survive once more. Not as historical artifacts but, as hearth and home right here, right now.
    Thanks for what y'all doing & for sharing..

    I wondered why the bottom logs are more square and upper logs more round

    • @FlutyLickHomestead
      @FlutyLickHomestead  4 роки тому

      Thank you, Well I found the answer! I found on all of the hewn square logs a marking of numbers on each and looks like the square logs came from another old building before this one was built. And they added the round logs to get more height. If this part was all built in the 1880’s or 90’s those square logs were very old! I’ve traced the family back to that property early as his father there in 1840
