Okay guys, I'm a gardener and figs will take root in just about anything. Very easy to propagate. Most cuttings aren't going to take the easily
I take a cutting put it in a jar of rain water stick it in the windowsill and just fill the water as needed. No mess no fuss and its the best way i found so far. Sometimes the easiest way is the better way especially if you dont have money for this that or the other. Remember people half the garden stuff out there is just to make you spend money you dont have too.
I hear what you’re saying. 😀 The people who have the most to lose tend to be the ones who will partake in the most successful and least risky methods. While rooting in water works with certain plants (some varieties of figs included), rooting in water is rarely the best option for highest success rates. Otherwise every nursery would do it this way. No nursery does for almost any plant. There are of course unnecessary products, but rooting hormones increase success rates substantially. Thank you for watching and for sharing your experiences. I love to hear it!
@@PlantFanatics i am dealing woth a very very limited budget. So I go the best way I can. But i have tried rooting hormone and honestly so far the rain water method works the best for me. Maybe its my climate not sure. Lol. Have a great a day! 🙂
If it works it works! Keep up the great work. 😀
@@esmysyield2023honey is a natural rooting hormone. You might it that at some point in the future.
Hi Chad, I'm so excited. Your White Marseille Cuttings arrived Thursday afternoon and 20 minutes later they were in soil and tented, just like your video suggested 👍👩🌾
The classic side cutting always works perfect for me and u can make way more cutting than 1 for each three nodes u can have 1 for each 1 node!!! And then better yet sell them for some extracash😅 happy gardening yall
Did they actually turn into trees or rot away? I heard getting roots above soil is from too high humidity. Just curious and trying to learn more.
Yes, it does! Hydrangeas too!!
Thank you so much for watching! 😀
Hi, are you still using this method to root fig cuttings? After they rooted did you transfer them or let the grow a leaf or two? Thank you!
How long u open the container lid everyday?
Does it need sunlight or artificial light during the rooting process?
Not until its leafed out and in container with soil.
Thanks for sharing this method.
Hello. What kind of rooting medium u use for this? Ty
Did these ever put on leaf buds?
Yes many of them became trees. The success rate is definitely lower than multi node cuttings though
Have you done this with mulberry?
Same family
They seem pretty hardy and similar from what I've seen
Did you use any rooting hormones?
Wooow sorprendente 😲 y Alucinante 😳
Does this work for citrus?
install light meter aap and tell me laux value of cutting
Well done!

Thanks so much! 😀

Fig cuttings? You can't believe the success you are having with the easiest tree to root?
What do you think the main issues are while trying to root any kind of cutting? And how do you think sand would help to mitigate those problems? I think guys like you are bullies who think they are better than everyone else. This channel is to encourage and teach those who care to learn about plants, and different ways to successfully root them. So you can take your Snide comments to a channel where your remarks would be more acceptable.

Not all figs are easy to root.
