- Set playback to HD, or it'll look like mush...bloody UA-cam. A new trailer for our now-finished film, Me and My Shadow. What do you do when you have a finished film and no idea how to distribute it? Try and get some eyes on it, I suppose.

THIS LOOKS ABSOLUTELY CRAZY. I LOVE IT.
The best thing anyone can do is to share it.
@@Corn_Pone_Flicks will do!
Hope you find a distributor soon!
Thrilled to see this film come to fruition. Best of luck with it!
I'd hoped that posting it just a few days after the Shining video might help it get more attention, but it appears not to have worked out that way. UA-cam is a fickle place.
Don’t worry. It’s a marathon. You got this.
@@jimmygownley9573 MAKING the film was a marathon: difficult, but I knew how to do it. Anything associated with business or marketing bores me blind, and really isn't my area. It's more like a riddle told in another language.
I really want to see this. Looks Lynchian. Which is totally my jam.
It's not really very Lynchian, to be honest. I was more inspired by Fincher and De Palma for this one.
@@Corn_Pone_Flicks I’ll take Fincher and DePalma!
If I were a distributor, I'd distribute this. But I'll definitely watch it when it comes out
Oh I'm excited for this
The best thing anyone can do is just to share the trailer. Word of mouth means everything.
This will be interesting, looking forward to it!
Would love to see the whole movie, looks great!
Thanks...hopefully, you'll be able to someday.
this looks so good!!!!
The acting for the brief glimpse into the crying scene was chilling. I hope you manage to find a distributor, I'd love to watch this!
I can't take credit for that...that was all Lauren's doing. That was take ONE, by the way. She'd never even acted before.
🎉🎉🎉
I'm commenting here just so no one can say "first," and if they do they're lying.
First... time that I'm commenting on this video!
Eighth!
Love the lead actress she is brilliant
Indeed she is.
Mysterious.
Your TP breakdowns brought me here. Great trailer! Any film fest showings scheduled for this yet? Also, what’s the run time? If your ever inclined, my hometown, which has a striking similarity & vibe to Twin Peaks (Creston,BC) hosts the 7th Siding Film Festival. Would love to see Me & My Shadow there!
It's an hour and 49 minutes. Trying to get it into some festivals, but these days they're choked with people who have actual money behind them.
@@Corn_Pone_FlicksMmmm. I see. Full length. Not quite the right fit for the 7th Siding. Well I hope it soon sees the projektor light of a hushed theatre soon! One should hope there are still festivals for the small budget films out there!
@@jaywatanabe4706 Oh, I don't expect (or even really want) to see it in theaters. It's shot digitally and would look pretty lousy if it was fifty feet tall. Streaming and/or a blu-ray release would be fine.
Have you tried dropping it on prime? Indie Flicks tend to thrive on there
Well, I can't just add it to their listings on my own. I'd need a way in, which involves a lot of wheeling-dealing crap that is totally not in my area of expertise. I probably can't just email them and ask them to host it.
@@Corn_Pone_Flicks Amazon prime is an open source. Anybody can upload anything to it there’s an entire franchise of a guy who used GoPros with a thick Massachusetts accent and just set them around his house. Made possession film at the time he had made 10k off the first one with only investing 60 bucks… and now it’s on the fifth film
Hmm...maybe I'll look into that.
Actually, they need someone to post a review of this so they can link to when they submit it to a film festival. Can you help?
Bring it on! 😎 🤘

Are physical copies available for purchase?
I don't care if it's just a plain, burnt disc, I'd like to check this out somehow.
Edit: I know you're looking for distributors, I'm just a selfish, impatient bastard.
Not as yet, though I'd like to do that eventually. I plan on getting the cast together for a commentary track at some point, as well.
Um...first? Looks good.
