Yeah, I realized I made a mistake after I uploaded. You are the first to catch it so bonus points for you!!! I hate making mistakes like that as I try real hard for accuracy. I need to live with that one unfortunately....
Really enjoy your videos Dan! I got my first Schecter, BlackJack hard tail, a little over 10 years ago to use as a fret level practice guitar. I was impressed with the quality of this lower priced guitar. I started buying more. Like you said in the video, each guitar is different, even the same model. I bought a BlackJack with a FR, and some other miscellaneous, including a Banshee Elite FR-S. That Banshee was a beautiful neck-thru, but just bever gelled with me. I ended up selling all of them except the first one. I decided to take a chance on a used DJ Ashba signature (import) and was blown away by the neck. Much different and just what I wanted. A keeper. Schecter seems to vary greatly in their neck profiles which is good and bad in my opinion. My original, I am currently routing the body to accept a FR and installing some Zakk Wylde EMGs - keep rockin LR! -Dave
Thanks so much man! You are proof positive that a guitar needs to be played. Doesn’t matter the model, brand or price. Each instrument is unique and playing it is the only way to know if it’s yours! Thanks for sharing your story 😎🎸🤘🏽
I have a few schecters. One is fantastic. The other two have thin necks and constantly go out of tune. I put ratio tuners on one and it helped a little. But there are still problems. If I tune it and leave it alone its fine, but as soon as i play it for a few minutes it goes out.
i have he same schecter i got off guitar center used for a good deal basically new and i havnt had any issues with the tuners and love it. dont like the battery life though compared to emg active pickups. i also have a ltd ec-400 that ive had for over a decade that ive played so much the frets are getting worn out now. there both great brands i would say.
That SLS Schecter I have personally played (not yours of course) and I’d go as far as to say it was the best playing guitar I’ve ever played. Now those Fishmans were not my flavor but as far as feel it was spectacular
Don’t get me wrong. I was very excited about this guitar and I’m not giving up on it but just want to be open about my experience with it. I know they are great guitars. But every guitar is different. Even the same model.
I'm intrigued by Schecter guitars, but there's pretty much nothing available in stores across GTA, and I'm a bit apprehensive to buying online. How would you compare the quality of those Schecters to your Suhr? Particularly the fretwork?
I agree. I had to order both of my Schecter guitars. As for comparisons there are no comparisons with the mid priced Schecters. The US or Japanese ones, for sure. But at 1500 dollars they can’t compete with a high end Suhr for 3x the money. Nice to hear from a local!!! 😎🎸🤟🏼
Dan, you can call Schecter and they will send you another set of tuners. I have a couple of friends who had the same issue with different guitars from Schecter. They called them up and told them about the issue they were having. And Schecter sent me both new tuners free of charge; problem solved. Give it a try and let me know how it went.. also ESP LTD and Schecter are owned by the same individual but operate independently. Of one another
You know I should have done that. I really wanted to Gotohs anyways. And you’re right! What a massive conglomerate owning both brands. Yeeesh! Thanks for sharing!
Yes, I noted that error in another comment. I knew ESP was a Japanese company but had a brain fart in real time...but thanks for noting. I try to get my facts straight but sometimes this happens unfortunately...

That LTD is gorgeous!
I truly love that guitar...best value for the money of any guitar I own....
I own that same Schecter but in left handed. What an absolutely stunning guitar. My tuners are good, they aren’t the best but get the job done.
Glad yours are better...good guitar otherwise and a real looker for sure!
1:08 ESP is a Japanese co, not American

That's too bad...I worry that's what will keep happening with my C1...I'm giving it one more chance!!!
Amazing guitars! I hope you can get that Schecter sorted, would be a shame to see it go...
Here’s hoping! 😎🤘🏽🎸

I'm glad yours is good. I'm not giving up on mine just yet and my Schecter has been great so far!
