It's not a light rail, it's a full fledged Metro; there's a difference. The Lagos redline metro is likely to start operation by the end of this year as well.
@@toontumnetwork You may not need it in Accra, the metro is not necessarily an aesthetic, it's a necessary infrastructure to address traffic jams that prolongs passengers tine in traffic. It's not a light rail, it's a full fledged Metro; there's a difference. Lagos has 7 planned intra-city rail lines, 2 out of the 7 (the blue and the red lines) are metro lines, while the remaining 5 are made up of light and mono rails. Kindly take note!
The Lagos redline metro is likely to start operation by the end of this year as well.

But i heard the next administration of lagos will start the purple line rail and the green line rail
That blue line rail costs that much because
(1) Lagos was already built up
(2)Houses and lands along the route had to be bought and paid for by LASG.
(3) Court cases
(4) Long elevated sections across the water bodies of Lagos and the Atlantic Ocean.
(5) Cost of removing shipwrecks under the Atlantic Ocean
(6) Many other challenges.
