Ray, you have been busy this year with Nevada mines! I admire the way you meld drone and ground footage, provide historical info and produce final products with music! Thank You for your creative work!
My parents met in nearby Silver Peak during the late '30s and Mom's sister ran the boarding house at the main portal of the Mary Mine which now lies in an area of surface mining. During the '50s I was Dad's constant shadow while he prospected for uranium ore. They recorded several Esmeralda County claims near Silver Peak, Weepah and in the Palmetto Range to the south. We would frequently visit Silver Peak to visit with my parent's old acquaintances living out their retirement years in what was then a virtual ghost town. The only phone in town was at the power station.
If you have not read it, you may be interested in the book "Silver Peak - Never a Ghost Town" by Victoria Ford. My aunt Alta Brown ('Ma Brown') and Dad are mentioned in the book. Dad is simply mention because the author could not remember his brother's name ~ Ray.
Finally, I have viewed your new coverage of mines in the Ruby Hill area. My next trip to Eureka I will seek them out to explore. Best Regards, Terry Graham

Terry, thanks for the kind words, and also for the info and the book recommendation! I always enjoy hearing from people who have a personal connection to the places I've visited.
I keep hoping to get a chance to visit the Mary Mine and mill someday.
