The Mercedes E-Class Estate has always been a very classy way to carry rather a lot. These days though, it's cleverer and more efficient than ever. A focus on downsized engines will be a big draw, there's a frugal base diesel, a plug-in hybrid and fire-breathing Mercedes-AMG models add some excitement. Overall, the whole range just feels slicker and more desirable than ever. It's all very impressive, particularly as you can carry up to 1,820-litres.

Some versions I still see the 3rd row as an option. Not that I'd want it.
Some sources cite 1950 liter rather 18xx. Might that be due to the hybrid system on this one? For just a bit of torque fill and city driving consumption I don't want to give up cargo space. And even a plug-in doesn't help me much personally, on longer drives it just becomes overhead capacity.

I own the diesel estate.
The run-flat tyres ruin the ride & without 'full' air suspension, crashes into breaks in the tarmac.
But car reviewers always seem to just test the expensive posh models.
Wonder why?

I have a 2022 E450 All-terrain (3.0 Inline-6 Petrol Turbo with 48V mild-hybrid) here in the US and love it. I suppose this engine is not present in that part of the world.
