During this Phase of the Inground Pool Vinyl Liner Replacement we discuss why we use vermiculite as our pool base versus concrete. Vermiculite is a pool base that is composed of a sand and concrete mixture with flexibility that concrete does not offer with the same sturdiness. When the earth moves slowly which it will - concrete gets strained and breaks and can tear up your liner. Vermiculite offers the same sturdiness without the breaking because it will conform to the earth's slight movements.
