I even tried to add more stuff to the already merged.package. That went well. New sub. Thank you for still playing Sims 3. I also still adore them. @@kanyiaharper5717 Maybe I could be of a little help here, whats going on with it? What is it not doing? And I wish there was a Sims 3 version of Sims 4 Studio, it would help out so much. There is another Sims 3 merger called S3PE but I recommend NOT using it. I'm not saying its bad but when you have CC Magic you can pretty much control all of your cc even if its merged, everything stays. Pretty much if you're having some sort of issue, maybe outdated or corrupted cc then you can easily remove it. Unmerging package files from S3PE is irritating and i tried, you'd have to clone the packages from it one by one, i just decided to leave the merged package from S3PE alone.
@@kanyiaharper5717 Im not even sure if S3PE is outdated but I do know what it used to not merge all of my cc thoroughly, it would fail before it would even get to 300 fucking MB. Sorry for the language but just using that program is really tiring.

Do you compress your cc ? Cause i just found out about that a few days ago and it legit SAVED my life. It reduces cc files so much and it's also available for sims 2.

Hey Aurora!!! Girl if this work you have just saved my life!!! My game is so lagging that I haven't played in over a month because it was driving me mad!!! I don't have my CC in categories, can I just divide them up into a few folders and merge them that way?
I know how to do it, I know you can't merge mods, sliders, and default replacements but can you merge custom markings (such as for dogs and horses) if they aren't default replacements?

Ericat I just created a new folder in my documents folder and titled it "Sims Backup" then installed my CC into there. Then I merged everything in that file and took the merged file into my Sims game :)
when I used s3pe to merge my cc files, ALL my package files (so my sims 4 cc as well) converted to Sims 3 Package files. I got it to work again but I'm scared to use s3pe again because I don't want to have this issue again. any suggestions? thanks so much xoxo
Airallea S3PE does the whole "not responding" thing while it saves the packages as a merged file. It is actually working as intended funnily enough :b you know it's finished when S3PE pops up with (for example) [RW] YourComputer\Documents\Electronic Arts\Sims 3\Mods\Packages\CAS\FemaleHair1 in the window's top bar. You can check the folder you saved it to to see if the file is there too after to check the file is about the same size as the original files as well (it will be a little bit smaller though). Hope that helps! 😊

Airallea yeah that can happen, because you might have merged too much at once and some resources can go missing in the process. If you can keep the total merged file under 300mb that tends to help (I personally have stretched it to 500mb with no problems). As long you keep back ups of the CC like AuroraSims does you can always remerge again :)
Hey Aurora, I merged all of the cc with no problem. But my game still lags, lags to the point where it’s not playable still. It’s better then before but it’s still really bad. I have a gaming computer and it’s new. I watched your other video to see if your graphics card could handle the Sims/Exception packs. And it was a full green yes line. Not a single no or maybe. And I only have seasons and Pets. With narras mods, 2 of the mods is overwatch and error trap. and I also got cc ofc. I put the game graphics down but it still doesn’t work. What can I do? Please help
1. Outdated mods, ensure its all updated to match your patch or to fix issues. 2. Broken mods, once again check modder notes or just take the suspected mod out of the game and play test until you find the issue. 3. Ensure nraas is matching your patch. Due to the nature of nraas, if it doesn't match your game patch exactly, it can and will fuck up your game to high heaven 3. Run sims in compatibility mode, sucks I know, but sometimes its needed. 4. Clear your caches. The longer you play a saved game, the more bloated it gets.
Aurora so Ive downloaded s3pe succesfully but for some odd reason the import button that i need to press isnt letting me press it. Do you understand what im saying lol. I dont know what to do about it, should i uninstall it and reinstall it or what? Ive finally gotten it to work too! Ughhh lol
You should be fine merging them together. I don't usually merge skins and mods just to be safe but you can also merge them too at your own risk. Some people merge the same things together for organizational purposes.
Dominique Nash I wouldn't recommend merging mods. But anything else you can merge with whatever. That's just how I chose to do it to keep everything organized ☺️

For 2019 or later on Sims 3 players: I would highly recommend using CC magic instead.

My recommendation: Use S3MO instead of S3PE for merging CC, it's faster.

It's good to have seperated and organized cc for many reasons eg. broken cc, etc. So, this is the safe way.

I figured it out. For anybody else who wants to know, it works. I'd just recommend putting them in separate packages for species and region.

No Bc I’m hella confused you open up accessories and merge those and then you put it in a whole other file when you saved them again
If i merge something I already merge with I just download, would it over write my other cc or would it add it on too the other cc

I never saw that there was shoes makeup and etc did you make those files or did was it naturally there?

ok help. why do all my packages, that I have and have not merged now have the s3pe icon and how do i get them back to normal?
omg i had the same thing and i think its because we pressed the thing where it said associate .packages with s3pe :/
So when you package them all together, do you delete the individual files from the mods folder that you had before you packaged them?
