So I replaced everything on my 2001 Nissan Sentra thermostat all the hoses etc. I grabbed the water pump when I was under the car and it was wobbling and that’s where it’s been leaking from. Thank you so much now I know it’s the water pump.
One of the main reasons I don't like trying to work on my Sentra is because out of most of the agents I've seen people work on this one has a lot of maneuvering you have to do to really get to the part that you're trying to get to which is why I've refrained from trying to do too much work on it myself.
I have almost removed the pump. There are seven screws in all. I have removed six of them. The last one can not be removed, I wish I had that electric sleeve tool, ah! anyway thank you!
Rigoberto Vera Jr it has a chain that’ll last the lifetime of the engine, if taken care of. I have an 06 Sentra with 180k on it and so far it’s working fine
No, he simply removed the two belts that power (if Im not mistaken) the water pump, power steering pump, alternator & a/c. The timing chain is a much more elaborate process - check out " ykmalachi " for that.
