how can Liam be so heartless? His wife had a miscarriage, lost her step-daughter and best friend to a serial killer, got shot by the same serial killer and let's not forget that he threw her out of the house when he was grieving. He's a qualified doctor so I'm surprised the writers aren't exhibiting an understanding side to him but at least Manpreet has sympathy.
I think leyla took drugs because of how Liam grieved for Leanna, her miscarriage and when she got shot, she needs therapy. Unless she’s said a reason to Suzy.
Embarrassment, self blame, shame and anger. Just some of the emotions felt by drug abuse and how it affects others. I hope the story lines plays out well.
Of course, that'll be the direction of this story. Even though it's traumatic for Liam to find his wife like that hopefully when she pulls through and she'll go into drug rehab. It's a lot for Liam to get his head around especially after tragically losing his daughter in such a brutal fashion. I wouldn't be surprised if Leyla's marriage to him is over if she survives.
I sincerely hope that this is the wake up call that she needs to get clean but somehow I highly doubt it she'll just continue down the same road until its too late to do anything about it and Liam will be burying her next.

Yes, in some sort of way he played a part in this. Even though the drug dealer was the main reason who forced Leyla to stash his drugs with her that BS that Matty pulled planting that very same bag of drugs in Suzy's car made it worse for Leyla's Cocaine addiction. It probably triggered her to take more drugs that put her in hospital.
I thought that Alicia was Jacob's mother and not Leyla since Alicia raised him with her ex-husband and Jacob didn't know Leyla gave birth to him until he was a young teenager?
