You can't truly understand this song unless you've walked the land he speaks of. Not Disney World, not Miami, not Tampa, not even the places where other people are present. You have to be out in the woods, out in the prairies, out on the river in a kayak/canoe before you can even begin to understand what he speaks of. It humbles you in ways you never thought possible. I traveled the Ocklawaha River recently in my kayak and just hummed this song as I traveled along the banks with the manatees and gators and admired the land that God created and the Creek, Seminoles and Miccosukee adored. It sickens me to watch the greed and carelessness turn what was once beautiful landscapes into concrete nightmares. The lust for the unnatural and manmade is running rampant amongst those who have lost their touch with the natural world.

This song is very powerful. I'll Cover it on another channel.
I feel it sitting in the woods. ✌️❤️

I remember being out in the Everglades with some friends when I was about 16 years old (I'm 42 now) and we were just out there doing what any normal 16 yr old rednecks from South Florida tdo (go into the woods/glades) go mudding, exploring, n enjoy the outdoors cause there was no internet on our phones or social media in the 90s. We had a cell phone with us but it was one of those basic ones that didn't even have caller ID on it lol. We were parked somewhere in the glades sitting in the bed of my boys truck listening to a country station drinking beers. The weather was hot n humid with virtually no breeze so it was hot one that day. My boy Justin called up the country station we were listening to and said to the dj that answered" Hey this is Justin, Beau, and Keith and we're out in the Everglades right now can we hear some Seminole Wind by John Anderson?" The dj said sure I'll get it on. The very next song we hear "Hey, this one's going out to Justin, Beau, Keith in the Everglades. Here's Seminole Wind by John Anderson". And at that exact moment the dj said that and the song started to play, a breeze picked up out of nowhere and lasted through the whole song! 😳 We went nuts with excitement from hearing our names on the radio but at the same time we were all were taken back cause of how the wind picked up out of nowhere exactly when the song started to play. It was a powerful moment because we understood the song. That Seminole spirit is out there and it showed us it was real that day! I'll never forget that day and hate what's become of the glades now.😢

So thankful this great man stood up for the amazing Natives of our country. People need to get with it soon. God created the earth before man. I grew up with Amish. Once you go buhdist no going back. That Chablis doing Hell. I make my Martinis with Gin and some Chablis instead of Dry Vermouth. But I dont drink.
