Hello My Friends! Thank you for stopping by! What do you all think about Flip the Script? Is it a Yay or Nay for you? Remember, I'm not the designer. It won't hurt my feelings if this isn't a style for you. I'm only here to provide the information; receiving wigs we don't like and having to return them is no fun. I think the more information you have regarding a style, the less you may be disappointed. Wishing you all a beautiful day! xoxo Marlene
You look great Marlene, however, for me this piece is just a little too dense and “fixed” for me.
Thank you! I apologize for the late response but I was in Europe for the last 15 days and just got back last night.Thank you for the compliment, but honestly, it's too dense and fixed for me too! xoxo Marlene
Yes, l love Flip the Script, Iced java is my favourite colour. The style is just lovely, maybe a bit more hair than l am used to. I may have to thin her a bit, just have to wait and see.
I love the style it's beautiful I have it in iced java, just gorgeous. ❤❤
Hi Marlene, it is indeed a beautiful style. I wore my hair similarly back then. Today, this hairstyle would no longer suit me. It's too much hair for me. Thank you for showing it to us. As always a good review. Thanks for that. 💖
Hi Rita, thank you so much for stopping by! I have to agree that while I wore my hair like this way back when, the style no longer really suits me. xoxo Marlene
I loved Farrah Fawcett's hair. This a pretty style too 👌
Hi Clara, thank you so much for stopping by! I loved when I wore my hair like this! xoxo Marlene
Thanks for the review. Not for me for similar reasons. Interesting that they have a wig styled away from the face. Most wigs are curved towards the face to obscure the hairline. I have a small head and face, so I look much better with hair off my face. And I am older, so this density does not look at all natural on me. But if you have the face and body to carry off this style, it is gorgeous.
Hi Margaret, thank you for visiting! I think everything about this style is interesting: styled away from the face as you mentioned, the volume, and style. I'm sure it's the right style for many wearers. Hopefully, my video will help anyone considering it. xoxo Marlene
Hi Marlene! This is a beautiful full style! I used to curl my strait hair with hot rollers and my curling iron for this style. The cut was so important to have the "feathered" look. I graduated high school in 1975. Almost time for our 50 year reunion! This might be a good look! Ha ha!
Hi Terry Sue, thank you so much for stopping by! Yes! I graduated in '75 as well. Goodness, it just blows me away that was almost 50 years ago. LOL, this would be a great look for our HS reunion for sure! xoxo Marlene
Oh, I love it! I couldn't have it in the 70s because my hair was too fine and thin, but I sure wanted it. I still want it, but I look ridiculous in long styles. (I know this is probably not considered long.) I keep trying length because I want it so bad, and I love, love, love big hair. So I may eventually try this one. But I doubt I'll be able to pull it off.
Hi Beautiful, thank you for stopping by! If you love big hair and love the style, consider putting it in a half up/half down or clipping some of the sides up to the back leaving the 8" fringe framing your face. I can't wear long styles hanging down, but I love them so I wear them in side ponytails, half up & half down, or a low ponytail. xoxo Marlene
Hi Marlene,
I was slightly younger, around 12 or 13, when Farrah Fawcett was a sensation. I also loved Lindsay Wagner’s (The Bionic Woman) hair, which was similar to Farrah’s at the time. We ALL wore our hair like Farrah. 😂
Flip The Script is a beautiful style and SS Shaded Hazelnut is my favorite RW color. It reminds me of Rich Chocolate Brown in BT’s Lux collection. I think it’s a little too much hair for me, however, a gorgeous style nonetheless. 💞
Hi Lynn, thank you so much for stopping by! Yes!!!!!!!! I'd forgotten about Lindsay Wagner's hair. It really was similar to Farrah's. I agree SS Hazelnut is very close to Rich Chocolate Brown, and yes, a bit too much hair for me as well. Beautiful style just not for everyone, but I don't think any one style is really for everyone. xoxo Marlene
Thank you, Marlene, for this review. Pretty wig but it would swallow up my small face, lol. God bless you, Susan❤
Hi Susan, thank you so much for stopping by and your comment! xoxo Marlene
I love Flip The Script!! Oh yes…I remember the Farrah hair style. I went to the salon to have my hair cut & was told I didn’t have enough hair around my face to achieve the style😔 My hair was thin back then & it’s really sparse now. Great review!
Hi Nancy, LOL, I think many of us wore our hair styled like Farrah. I'm sorry you weren't able to achieve the look back then; I know there are some styles I couldn't achieve either. Thankfully, we have wigs now and can wear the hair we love. xoxo Marlene
BEAUTIFUL! I'm seriously considering this one. :o) On another note, last night while wishing I could fall asleep AND listening to UA-cam (duh, what's wrong with this picture?), I ran across your Manufacturer: Stay in Your Lane video. I got so PUMPED UP, I had to just GET OUT OF BED. You go, girl! :o) Thanks for your honesty and integrity, Annette
Hi Annette, thank you so much for stopping by. I totally understand. I listen to books to fall asleep, and of course, I end up listening and not falling asleep as quickly as I'd like. Thank you for listening to my rant. I was so upset when I received that email. How dare they ask me to basically lie by omission. Silly manufacturer didn't know I don't get intimated. xoxo Marlene
They'll think twice before "reaching out" (to use an overused expression) to you a second time. :o)@@MarlenesWigChatStudio
I STILL wore that style until i started losing my hair a few months ago. Thats why it caught my eye, BUT....I do not like permatease. I have to think about that one. I have the Always long, but I hardly wear it because of the permatease.
Hi Donna, thank you so much for visiting! Honestly, if you don't like the permatease on Always, which has less than this one, you may want to consider another style. Flip the Script, in my opinion, has a lot of permatease and high density. If I find a similar one with little permatease and lower density, I will certainly review it. xoxo Marlene
Yes took forever to get the look with my curling iron 😅
LOL, yes it did!!! xoxo Marlene
I like the style but prefer a lower density. Great for a formal event though!
Hi, thank you so much for stopping by! I hadn't thought of it for formal event. Great thought! xoxo Marlene
Flip The Switch is a beautiful wig and I like the volume. Unfortunately RW wigs are too big for my small head.
Hi Beautiful, thank you for visiting. If you love volume, perhaps consider one of RW petite styles. Those tend to run pretty small. Some of their partially hand-tied also run petite such as Upstage. I had purchased Upstage a while back (average & partially hand-tied), and I couldn't get it on my head. xoxo Marlene
Your former company had a live yesterday with Raquel Welch and Frank was calling this the Farrah Fawcett hair. He showed it sin ss hazelnut. He also talked about the permatease. Cute style but this is NOT my wig. I don't like medium length wigs over 4 oz these days and I'm not a fan of permatease. I'm really leaning towards hand tied caps right now.
Hi Karen, thank you so much for stopping by. For obvious reasons, I didn't watch the live (I recorded this video before that live) but I did know about it. I guess Frank and I thought the same when we said it was Farrah Fawcett hair. That's the hairstyle that came to mind as soon as I took it out of the box. While I think the style is really pretty and perfect for all those wearers that prefer higher density and the permatease, I'm with you. I much prefer a sleeker style. Thank goodness there's a style out there for all of us regardless of our personal preference. Big hugs, Beautiful! xoxo Marlene
😅 I did, love flip the script!
LOL, so many of us did! If you love this style, stay tuned for my sale next week: marleneswigstudio.com/
How about Jaclyn Smith?
Yes, Jaclyn Smith, Lindsay Wagner, and most of us in the 70s wore our hair this way. xoxo Marlene
I love this style but why do they put so much permatese in the wigs! people who wear wigs want to look natural and all that excess hair and puffiness is a sure giveaway I wish the designers would realise it’s not needed
I agree, I have no idea why they added as much permatease. The only answer I have is they were trying to recreate a 70s style. xoxo Marlene
I wanted to say thank you for always being honest about the permatese some reviewers don’t even mention it and it’s a deal breaker for some of us when considering buying 😊
