this is a video about 100 thieves (100t) and their valorant team which includes asuna, bang, derrek, stellar and cryo. they recently competed in the red bull home ground tournament which featured other franchise teams such as cloud9, team liquid, and heretics. cloud9 had yay igl (but not really), the same player who is currently doing the classic only iron to radiant challenge! that's cool! i also mention sentinels, nrg and LOUD in this video :)

They weren’t forgotten, they were very good at champs. And since they’ve been together and have chemistry I’m not surprised they’ve done well so far

I don't think people actually believed that C9 > 100T given how new the team was but more so how clouted they were with zellsis and yay, we are watching 100T probably near their peak vs C9 at their still unmatured form so I feel like 100T demolishing C9 isnt really that big of a suprise
I doubt that 100t are near their peak, though, both teams will keep improving a lot, c9 probably has stronger players overall though

This seems revisionist and based on hindsight. Most ppl heavily underrated 100T and not many thought they could beat c9.

C9 has new players and different roles and this was their first tournament together compared to 100t who have been together since Stage 2

its funny that 6 months later and at the start "not EG who knows whats happening with them" and they got 2nd at masters tokyo taking the world by storm, while 100T fumbled the bag allowing for that to happen

i think it'll be between 100t and nrg in sao paulo, sentinels havent even practiced yet with pancada and loud have an extremely young team, so although im not ruling out the brazil buff, i think their inexperience might be an achilles heel
How was 100T left out?!??!??! They signed Cryo which easily made them a huge contender.

100t showed a lot of potential in champs, but they just cant reach a certain level due to lacking a dedicated oper. as u said they already have the system, they just needed to slot in that player, and it showed in rbhg that cryo is fitting well in the team (stellar massively improved too). it is a big difference with c9. they slot in 2 very good players, and are juggling roles, it’s the same as the new emea teams that are still figuring out what to do. i think nrg and 100t have a good advantage with the core sticking tgt.
100T > NRG > C9. Such an amazing roster with even bigger potential. Sad that sgares is gone though :(

@@tonyhart2744 am I wrong tho. Som is a great player but not better than bang on controller. Pancada is debatable. Top three initiators NA not in order crashies, derrek, xeppaa. Best opers NA yay, cryo and adris who is better, but 3rd bet oper NA is really good considering the competition. Asuna has never played bad for 100t and stellar is an underrated igl.

100T have always performed well (except that one time they got 13-0 😂) but as time goes on, we have seen them improve,quickly getting better and better than other team with each time passing. Now that they have a dedicated oper, it does seem like 100T will be a good reinforced team but we'll have to see in 2023.
every team experiences destruction. For example Outsiders in CSGO, who won the Rio 2022 major and were 2-0'd by G2 (second map was 16-1 to G2), a team who didn't even make it to the major.

100T are just getting stronger and stronger every map they play. The thing about NRG, Sentinels and LOUD is. Whats the chance of the org making another superteam like LOUD, OPTIC or Sentinels were at their prime? Almost 0%, because picking up superstars from last year will make a good team but not the best team (That would be just too easy). New teams we didn't see win everything last year will dominate this year.

yay wasn't IGLing, so beating them in the offseason at a tournament with 4 good teams on the old patch is a genuine win for 100 Thieves.
you could say 100t is the faze of csgo, if u dont know, faze were a decent-good team, they didnt make it far but shown signs of greatnes and whenever they lose, its literally always either close 2 maps or 3 map series, but once they added ropz (this is the same situation where everyone is overhyping c9 and other NA orgs in valorant, but in cs it was g2 with adding aleksi and m0nesy and vitality adding astralis duo and coach) they already had a system, and ropz just added more depth and firepower to it alongisde adding more motiavatoin, they won 3 events in a row instantly and then a big event after 2 slump showings
100t's system was arleady good before cryo, now its just more firepower and prob motivation and ideas from the xset system

I’m kind of scared for the São Paulo event because the 2022 csgo rio major the crowd only cheered for Brazilian teams and only cared about if Brazil was playing the crowd was a library of anyone else was playing and they cared way too much about it. And I’m scared the São Paulo event will be the same way

cryo is good on jett and stellar is a sentinel player so they will not have problem
The only reason yay was good in optic was cause the support behind him. I’m not saying he’s a bad player he’s insane but in optic their strats we’re based on yay doing well but now in c9 everyone is their own superstar so everyone is mid rather than one or two players playing at their max from support from their team

How people are calling 100T forgotten or underrated is beyond me. They've always performed well except for that whole match where Ec1s and BabyJ. Not to mention the past year where they've been the most dominating they've ever been since Sgares and DDK joined.
I'm rooting for 100T don't exactly love nadeshot for some things he did in the past and I don't think sentinels will do that well this year as they have a completely new team C9 has yay and zellsis but I haven't seen too much from the other players I guess we'll see though

I think 100T are both overrated and underrated kind a like how XSET were viewed mid 2022. Overrated when they win a mickey mouse tournament and underrated when they fall to the best. It'll be interesting to see how they ride in 2023. Teams haven't put too much focus on studying 100T. When they do, it'll be interesting.
