They’re probably the tallest team i’ve ever seen. Think the average height of the starting 11 is like 6’3. Should be a threat from set pieces. Most talented team player wise out of the 3 other teams imo.
im a little sad how you didnt mention Vlahovic, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Srahinja Pavlovic because they are without a doubt our best players in our squad, check them out if you are intrested.
As a Serbian I generally agree that we don't pose a threat. One thing to mention is that despite our record recently, our players are impressive compared to the other teams other than England in this group. I don't think they are in the best form right now, and obviously there is a lot more than having good players. The only thing I'll say is that Serbians don't like being underestimated. That may be one of our biggest motivators.
How on Earth are you not mentioning Vlahovici, the Juventus striker? He's easily better than most Premier league players when on form, as Juventus is leagues above most teams in the prem except the top 5-7... I agree with you that Serbia is poor defensively, but they are tall and they've got several threats up front - England should beat them, but they are the kind of team that can cause an upset and even win if England has a bad day. I'd give them a 10-15% chance to win and a 20% to draw, but yeah, England are clear favourites in all their games in this group.
@@yellowwasprakija2869 England is not in great form either, with a loss to Brazil's 2nd team in which they were dominated (could've easily been far worse than 1-0) and a draw at home against Belgium. Granted, that is MUCH better than losing 4-0 to Russia as Serbia did recently, and Kane was injured for those games, so you are probably right. Tbf Serbia might even struggle to get 3rd place in the group - they're a good team on paper, but they're always unpredictable and usually underperform at tournaments. The fact that they can, on a good day, beat the likes of Portugal away, is the reason why I give them a chance to win the opener, but it should probably be less than 5%...
@@yellowwasprakija2869 Ok, I withdraw what I said last after England's shambolic friendly against Iceland - sure, there was no urgency and they'll be a stronger side in official games, but that performance against Iceland was so pathetic I genuinely think there's a chance they don't win the group and go home in the round of 16. With these kind of tactics (endless crosses in the box and little creativity) and the kind of mounting pressure there's gonna be on the team now, I'd give Serbia a 20% chance to win and 30% to draw. And while Serbia is defensively poor, a team like Netherlands or even Austria would 100% send England packing if they don't up their game.
Defensively Serbia are horrendous, we've seen that during qualification. But they came up against a Hungary side that England themselves couldnt beat in the nations league. England have a mix of new and experienced players that possibly struggle to gel together. This is the euros on paper, its favourable for the Three Lions but 90+mins on the field, its anybody's game.
Not only Tadic, Mitrovic or Milenkovic but also Serbia have: Petrovic, Rajkovic, Vlahovic, Kostic, Samardzic, Pavlovic... Definitely 2nd best team on paper in group
Hi! Serbian writing. You are right, we will not cause any problems on Sunday, we dont have a team, maybe some good individuals, but we definitely suck as a group. Im not sure if we are the weakest opponent of the group, i think its going to be a tight one between us and Slovenia, but in general you are right. Good luck guys.
As a Serbian Fan of national team Sadly Only Mitrovic Vlahovic and Birmancevic are good Rest are not so good If we look Players who play in league Are Jovan Mijatovic Milan Pavkov Dejan Joveljic are good players And Kristijan Belic Bazdar
This feels like a deep dive from 2020...got to do some more research on the team personnel. I do agree that they pose no threat to England, but this analysis is super dated.
What do you think about the Champions results? I hope this only strengthens Harry and Jude’s relationship for the Euros instead of having an opposite effect.
I think this group is going to need as tough as we make it, if we turn up and play well it’s 9 points, if we dick around we could end up making it much harder work than it should’ve been
England didn't play in the Olympics for the football. The men's team had used Euro U-21 as the qualification, where the U-21 team won it the last year in Georgia, but an agreement talks between 4 Home Nations is still broken. The women's team had initially made a successful agreement talks to play in the Olympics this year, but this was scrapped after England's disappointing performance in the Womens Nations League, where they only came 2nd behind the Netherlands (only both finalists of Womens Nations League and the winner of 3rd place playoff were qualified for the Olympics).
Here is start 11 for Serbia : 3-5-2 Vanja Milinkovic Savić Milenković-Veljković-Pavlović Gudelj-Lukić-Sergej Milinković Savić-Kostić-Živković Mitrović -Vlahović Enough for draw😊
Everyone suddenly has forgotten that the Serbs and the Danes are together in the group and in the A league of nations, and the English in the B league, and that not so long ago Serbia beat the Slovenians 4:1, so, in mine humble opinion, it is not good scouting at all
Serb here: England will top this group. Excellent team. We are going for 2nd. England look like a complete squad in my eyes. Serbia needs better defense. 4-4-2, 4-3-3, or 4-2-3-1 is needed, not 3-5-2.

Serbia is a very unbalanced team, completely without even one decent full or wing-back and all teams used that. The second limit is creativity, precisely D. Tadić, he is far away from his prime but we don't have a decent substitute. Third limit is The Piksi (coach), great motivator but awful and predictable strategist. Btw, he is infamous as a player but for sure in 100 best players of all time, just check a few videos of how he humiliated players of Real, Barca, Utd, or Brasil, Germany etc... The last thought: our football analyst and experts are scared of our defence and potentially hard defeat from England. Second we don't expect anything from this match because England plays carefully, with a lot of players in defence and tactically on a very high level so we can't surprise this type of team. And, about Serbia, we also have problems with Denmark, 3 or 4 defeats in a row so we don't expect too much from this group, maximum to finish 3rd, eventually with 3 points and 0 goal difference so with that score we can probably qualify for the next round. One trivial thing out of football: older generations of Serbs, in general, likes and support England and they are very influenced by the Premier league, britpop and loved Only Fools and Horses, from the order side, younger people, born and raised in nationalism hates England maybe even more than US and wants to see you crashed and burned.
Showing my age here, but I remember Dragon Stojkovic playing for Yugoslavia in 1990 World Cup, great player.
Same in Euro 2000
Much better player then England coach Southgate...
His goal against Spain was a class.
Not Dragon. Dragan!

Great video Gary! I think this will be a really easy game, they were thrashed 4-0 by Russia recently
You do know that there substitutes we’re playing not even the first team and they had a red card
Strong up top, solid in the middle, terrible in the back. The easiest game in the group is laughable, however.
As a Serbian, the only chance for Serbia to beat England is for Maguire to score an own goal 🤣, which is possible, right?
