    The RR6's look good on the 4runner. I'm torn between the RR7's or keeping the stock TRD OR wheels. What offset did you choose?

    • @OverlandEngineer
      @OverlandEngineer  Рік тому +1

      I have -25 mm now. Many of my photos and videos were 0 offset with a 1.25" spacer so basically -32 mm offset.

    Is the purpose of beadlocks only for very low tire pressure? Do they serve any other purpose?
    And at what psi must you go to warrant needing beadlocks?

      That's definitely the largest benefit. I think most don't really air down past 12-15 without bead locks but everyone has their own threshold.
      The other thing I really like about bead locks is the ability to do work on them myself. Obviously its not super convenient but if you needed to let the air out and take the wheel apart of a trail for a patch or repair, you can actually do that with pretty basic tools. Whereas popping off the front bead without a machine is quite challenging and bound to make you scratch the front of the rim doing it with pry bars.

    I have a similar SUV.
    2013 Landcruiser Prado with 4.0L V6.
    It has stock wheels 265/65/r17.
    I have done a 2 inch suspension lift.
    Now i want offroad beadlock wheels.
    What wheel size, width and offset do you recommend?

    Were the tpms sensors a direct fit from the factory tires?

    Can you talk about what kind of trimming you need to do on the body to fit these tires? I have a body mount chop done and a viper cut. But will I need to do anything to the body to fit these?

      If you want 34-35s, you will probably have to trim some of the metal brackets for the fender, plastic around the fender area near the firewall and cut/hammer/seal the pinch welds. I have a video kind of covering this when I switched to 34s

    I'm still on the fence between BFG Ko2s vs KM3s (295/70/17).

    Curious if it looks like these would have fit without the BMC and viper cut.

    • @OverlandEngineer
      @OverlandEngineer  2 роки тому

      Definitely, they are 34s. You could fit beadlocked 285/70/17s with zero offset if you want to skip the viper cut and BMC. The viper cut is not really necessary but 34s will require aggressive plastic trimming :)
