- Even as we condemn the atrocities Hamas committed on October 7th, 2023, many are now asking, "Why should the Palestinians of Gaza have to pay?" and "Why is Israel making them suffer?" Gazans have been suffering at the hands of Hamas for decades, and this most recent attack on Israeli civilians forced Israel to commit to destroying Hamas once and for all. This current war, as devastating and ugly as it may be, will ultimately ensure that both Israelis and Gazans can have a future free of terror, destruction, and blood.

This was an awesome analysis. It didn't shy away from the fact that innocents on both sides will suffer during Israel's response but it also made it clear that Hamas is a threat to Palestinians as well as Israelis.

This was the most Israeli biased video I’ve ever seen in my life. No mention for the fact that israel murdered more than 8000 innocent civilians in 3 weeks, murdered 25 journalists, bombed multiple hospitals, mosques, churches, and destroyed more than half of all buildings in Gaza (let me guess, all are Hamas bases?). The fact the conflict started in 1948, yet hes blaming an org that started in 2006 for the conditions in Gaza is just a straight up mischaracterization of the situation. We all know Hamas was created so Gaza wouldnt end up like the West Bank, and at least have some armed group protecting them from extremist Israelis which are just as common as jihadists.

The life in west bank is hell. West bank less than 1/4 of total Israel's area and there are more than 540 checkpoints.They don't have the right to travel, even inside the west bank. They food, water and all basic needs are controlled by Israel. Also they are thrown out of their houses into the streets and the houses are either demolished infornt of them or given to the Jewish settlers. I am not just saying this, I can show the videos of this.
Nothing like this is happening in Gaza. The reason is Hamas. In 2005, all the Israeli army ran out of Gaza because they were not able to resist hamas. So they started blockade on the entire city. Hamas actually protected the city.
He just skipped all the atrocities by Isreali's and made his point.
How did Hamas become the problem? I mean how the hell it became very logical to blame the people who are trying to free their stolen lands from the jews who massacred them and occupied their home in 1948 ?
@@afnan_afnu There are blockades in Gaza and the West Bank since they were sending suicide bombers all over Israel. Since the blockade the number of terrorist attacks "magically" dropped. Why does Egypt have a blockade with Gaza too? because Gaza is a TERRORIST state, and they dont want anything with them. rightfully so.
Moreover, Israel provided many job opportunities for these Palestinians and they crossed the border daily (pre-war) working within Israel and earning money to provide to their familes. Are there checkpoints? Yes. A lot ? Yes. Terrorist attack remember?
Israel already has 2.1 Israeli Arab citizens, they have equal rights, they can vote, have education and they participate in the Knesset, some of them even join the IDF.
Israel is living proof that Jewish people and Arabs can live together peacefully when they are under democracy, its only when radical Islamic ideology intervenes is when there are problems.

I'm so glad you made this video! I hope some of the misguided college students being spoon fed lies about Hamas' intentions actually watch this. You perfectly explain how and why it's not disingenuous to side with Israel but still pray for the Palestinian people who are clearly being horribly mistreated by their own power structure. Hopefully, they too will be freed by the toppling of Hamas.

My only problem is how exactly are Palestinisn civilians to get to safety? Where are they to go? A humanitarian pause or some sort of corridor is needed. I know that Israel has to guard against losing ground, and Hamas is not likely to play fair, but I just wonder how best the innocent citizens of Palestine can be secured while exterminating Hamas.

What they're trying to say, without actually saying it, is that no one has the right to criticise Israel or call out Israel on its war crimes.

Even if Israel have prevented life saving medical aid from entering.

When people are protesting against a genocide we aren't telling the Palestinians what to think nor are we telling them they are suffering.
Media outlets inside the Gaza strip have shown us what is happening on the ground and the common people around the world are outraged.

How can you blame Israel for not supplying Gaza with food, water and electricity, when Hamas clearly uses all the money and supplies they got from Israel to fund terrorism. Why is it Israel’s responsibility to ensure that Gaza has food, water and electricity?
More than that, the thousands of Palestinians which were killed in Gaza from the start of the war, are almost entirely Hamas’s fault, because is using those Palestinians as human shields. That’s why Israel is using airstrike to kill terrorists and not artillery, because airstrike minimises the amount of casualties that artillery is capable of making.
And before you come and blame Israel for the suffering of Gaza, you should look much deeper. It’s all fault of the people of Gaza, they let a terrorist organisation such as Hamas to rise up to power, and commit those horrendous atrocities in the 7th of October. Many Gazans chose to participate in Hamas invasion of Israel and have murdered many Jews themselves, those people are far from being innocent.

There was one big and terrible uprooting in 48, of around 700,000 people, followed by lots of people settling, and only a few hundred people evicted for security reasons. The common calls 'from the river to the sea' however, are calls for an ethnic cleansing of around 7 million people. The extreme right fascists calling for it are often mislabled as left.
@@briennethemaidYou can apply the term "Settler" to the Israelis in terms of the "Illegal Jewish Settlements" in the West Bank, which I (and MANY other Israelis and Jewish people around the world) believe is part of the Sovereign Palestinian State and is unfair, unjust and illegal towards the Palestinian people. Which it is.
"Colonialist" is a bit more complex to be applied to Israel, since Israel is its own "self-contained" nation state and isn't a "colony." For example it was ACTUALLY the British (who are WELL-KNOWN for their 🌎 Settler Colonialism) that first imposed a mandate (the Balfour Declaration) on the Jews and Arabs back in 1917 that were already peacefully (by and large anyway) living in what we know today as Israel & the Palestinian territories. However, in 1947 the British turned the Mandate over to the United Nations (who also could be considered the "other" Colonialists in the Middle East at that time) and they in turn created the Partition Plan which also defined the current borders Israel has to this day.
The British Mandate ended on May 13th,1948, and then Israel declared it's independence and Statehood on May 14th, 1948. The Palestinian people could have declared their own Statehood in the West Bank & Gaza at that SAME time but didn't. Instead they declared war on the newly formed State of Israel.
At the end of that war (which is thought of as the War of Israeli Independence) which is considered to be the "first Arab-Israel war" within the broader context of what we today know as the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. After that, Egypt controlled Gaza and Jordan controlled The West Bank until the "Six Day War" of 1967.
Each & every time Israel has offered the Palestinian people a State in Gaza & The West Bank & an enduring ☮️, they have refused it, because they believe they are the ONLY people entitled to ALL the land, but they are not. It's the land of BOTH peoples.

An an Israeli, I wish there was a solution to the conflict that will alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people AND will provide a secure and safe existence for Israelis. Unfortunately, the situation is very complex and the leadership on both sides is not likely to bring us to a peaceful resolution.
if only Israel had annexed the Gaza Strip and West Bank after the Six Day War and made all the people in those places Israeli citizens... at least then they wouldn't be an occupied people :(

Your pattern failed with real-life examples.
1) Sometimes the conflicts are between Islam and Islam, especially in the Middle East.
2) It's not that they "sneak into". Some EU countries for instance are too open and make it very easy to migrate. I'll add Afghanistan as a country that was not Islamic.
3) They pretty much bring to the host country the same BS that broke their countries of origin (fundamentalism, tribalism and practising Sharia). They harass ex-Muslims and if there is a Jewish community, they will for sure be harassed as well.

If someone out there hates me but doesn't touch me or any other Israeli then I couldn't care less. I just hope that after Hamas is gone (hopefully we succeed), someone proper take power and promotes peace, while also fixing the problems in Gaza that are possible to fix but Hamas doesn't care about. Well done. As an outsider in this conflict with no dog in the hunt, these are the conclusions I have drawn as well. I pray for the peace of all peoples everywhere. But there were several things to point out, but I am going to list two major unavoidable facts.
1. You referred to a CNN video to explain how Hamas is the reason behind hospital blast, but in that video CNN analysts referred to a broadcast of Al Jazeera, but Al Jazeera confirmed the rocket from its video was completely destroyed mid air.
2. You said Israel ordered Palestinians civilians to leave, but the truth is they neither gave them enough time nor an option to shelter.
The only problem in most of humans’ brain is being unable to hold 3 truths together
1. Hamas’ brutal attack on Israel is unacceptable
2. Israel’s bombardment on Gaza is unacceptable
3. Both 1 and 2 are happening in the context of occupation which is also unacceptable
israel attempted to end occupation several times and were denied each time with violence. A people who are dedicated to killing someone don't get to complain when they are killed in self defense. A people who are offered what they demand then turn it down more than once do not get to cry foul on occupation. Israel has tried the peaceful solution repeatedly, and they can only do it so many times before only a fool would try again.

I’m sure the people of Israel even though scarred will recover - I just hope the Gazans, just like he vanquished Germans after WW2, do. The way Hamas indoctrinates their kids and destroys their souls reminds me of how Hitler did the same with his Hitler Youth groups.

Great video, I have one thing I’d add as it’s very important (see next paragraph) First, an first generation American who’s grandparents where Jewish refugees from Iraq and later were forced to migrate to what is now Israel and had and raised my parents. The explanation and the visual context you added to support it was a great way to answer the important questions, that I also agree, are very important to ask to understand this conflict. Props on using facts first, but when important, also providing both sides perspectives when you referenced opinion based context.
Here’s what I would add: I think with both a Forbes article and the house hearing report in 2014 are valid enough sources to warrant adding a very important point. That Hamas yearly budget is $1billion. That they also get billions as aid yearly from UN, Qatar, US, and more. I think this helps with the section “Israel’s previous approach….” When talking about how they themselves aided in Palestinians distress. Also how many of Hamas leaders sons are being paid crazy money to facilitate US aid deals as the report says. And that Hamas main leaders are in mansions Qatar. There’s videos and photos of them in mansions and playing soccer. So could be a good visual aid tool too. Also adding Hamas takes a 20% tax on Palestinians still.
Extra context includes Hamas budgets then and how there’s billions of unaccounted money yearly.
The CRS report (crsreports.congress.gov/product/pdf/R/R47754) from Oct. 17th 2023 says they increases military spending: “ Hamas' military wing in the past year from $100 million to about $350 million a year.”
In a Hamas 2014 budget ratified by Palestinian The Legislative Council and the Reform and Change Bloc. You can see their budget. It’s crazy. They spent 57% on “wages and salaries” at the tune of $509 million. They also say they have 50,000 employees. They also say that those same workers at the time of the budget being ratified hadn’t even been paid for the last 4 months. They also quote the unemployment because of most of the jobs were “construction” jobs, that they directly state where used to b build tunnels. It even mentions the recent discovery by Israel of the tunnels in Egypt and even directly attributed the expected reduced taxes they will be able to claim to that discovery.

Also there are many really interesting links out to the topics they write about throughout the article about the Tunnels and the reports about all employees not getting paid. How the Aid from UNRWA is spent or not spent. Links to the discovery of the tunnels and Hamas sources of the cost. How most things are taxed, smuggled or not, from cement to fuel to basic needs. And has links to Palestine PR and statements via Hamas official channels as sources. The quotes are taken from a Gaza based journalist when links are sourced for quotes they use from citizens. Yes this was in 2013/2014 but they already had a $1 billion a year budget then so it’s a valid comparison. Again nothing they say is really honest ever but at best it’s a lie to inflate the numbers to show how many they are powerful, so realistically they probably steal even all the money they said they used on things anyway. Like the cases of the wages being unpaid.

Anyway! Thanks for the video. Sorry for the info dump but I found it very relevant. Also wanted to share if anyone’s curious to expand on the data and further understand of how Hamas is absolutely depleting resources of years now, while stealing money, mostly on illegal imported goods, doesn’t even pay people yet claim to use more than half the billion on wages. For 17 years increasing the population in poverty and unemployment levels, reducing access to basic utilities, while yearly getting increase aid in the billions that are also completely unaccounted for or also make claims to use for “wages”. They have raped these people’s resources. They have tortured them. They use their life as human shields, and in danger civilians with the 10-40% of Hamas rockets that just misfire into Gaza before making it into Israel’s civilian cities.

You've done an amazing job covering up this. One thing everybody should understand is that this conflict didn't begin when the British Crown came and "took" their land. This conflict began when the Roman Empire came and seized the ancient town of Jerusalem. To be more accurate ppl should Google terms like "Arab Jews" and "Palestinian Jews" and read what happened during the Roman Empire and the siege of Jerusalem.
I have nothing against people of Iran, Palestine, or Israel, but I'm definitely against any form of terrorism no matter what country they're from. People need to realize that there are bad groups in good places and vice versa and be able to distinguish that.
