Love Harmen and his rescue so much.. The poor parents didn't,t know how to help him. The way they had the food piled next to him. How they kept peering at him trying to figure out what was wrong. If people don,t think animals have souls they should watch how grateful the mother was to have her baby back. The disbelief on the male,s face when Harmon was returned to the nest. Is this really my kid? lol
It was a pleasure watching little Harmon grow into a magnificent Bald Eagle. I will never forget you Harmon. You touched everyone's heart. "Little buddy" stay safe and be happy.Thank you for sharing this heartfelt tribute DaisysPlace2.
Thank you Daisy. High swift winds and sweeping views, Harmon, but most of all, lots of fish. All our hearts go with you on your journey. Thank you Jim and the rest of the team. Hugs MyPete and MNBound. The music is not forgotten. (lyonessa)
Hi Lois, I can see how it could be confusing if you didn't see the nest in 2012. There were 2 eaglets hatched. One fell out of the nest (I showed that but not the actually fall,) Harmon was the one left. Harmon some how got stuck in his nest with his wing buried and he couldn't free himself. The owners of the cam called the Raptor Center of St. Paul to rescue Harmon. After several days he was returned. We all feared the parents would reject him. Parents returned. Harmon flies free today.
Thank you for this wonderful video which was my introduction to this nest. Deeply moving yet sadly we have to deal with nature in the wild. The video is also a fitting tribute to this eagle family and to a wonderful close and caring community. Harmon and his family will never be forgotten.
Beautiful video for a beautiful little creature! Dear Harmon - God bless you - have a long and successful life! We all love you and will never forget! Thank you for the lovely video!
What a beautiful tribute!! Thank you for posting. Why did he just stand with his wing partially open for so long from 02:40 to 03:00 frames??? I have not seen that before, but I'm new as of Dec 27, 2017. I think he saw his reflection in the camera lol lol...tooo cute!!! He was a beauty. Please thank the rescuer for me. So glad all turned out well. L :)
He was hot and that's what they do to cool off. I thought it looked so majestic and went well with the song when there wasn't any words being sung. BTW - I am taking your advice - I've been not laying flat. I can adjust my bed to sit up more.
Oh, i did not know that's how they cool off...interesting. I totally agree with you about him looking majestic...he truly did, as if practicing his regal flight into adulthood. And, yes, the music was just right for that as well. Was he tagged when rescued so they can monitor him throughout Minnesota or wherever he may decide to venture off to? Maybe that's what I should do, get tagged before I venture off in case I get lost! lol No don't believe in humans being chipped. If mandatory, they would have to shoot me. Won't deny my faith. I've got this bug of wanting to travel a bit early fall, so thinking of putting some things in storage, don't have much anymore, getting rid of a lot late in life. Want to go west, maybe take a train ride too and just enjoy life for a month or so. I'm not rich, but if I can find something to do from home, I could work and travel a little until I've got it out of me and then settle somewhere warmer. Lived in Houston area 40+ yrs and NC/SC about 10. So it would be nice to visit the raptor centers who monitor the nests. Charlotte NC has a beautiful raptor center. Gorgeous eagles. Used to put the cam on at work, didn't have a pc at home. When I was stressed, watching the eaglet helped. Then one day POOF it was gone, They say something took it, but I say SOMEONE took it. The cage had a roof and too many eagles where in the caged area where the nest was for a predator to drag it off without a fight...so no way. Never did find out. I cried and cried "at work" for 2 weeks! Glad you have such a great bed. I want one like that; would probably sleep better. Take care! Thanks for the "the heart" on Letting Go comment. Rest well. L :)
P.S. Will go back and delete the personal stuff this weekend so it doesn't take up room. Btw, tell everyone I know about these cams, so I hope y'all get more subscribers.
I was sobbing from the get~go, what a beautiful tribute, absolutely touched my heart, thank you for creating this, so beautiful, Harmon will be forever in my heart , he will always be with me and SED to our buddy fly free, and Kirby will be with him watching over Harmon . thank you again from LoveHarmon57
Harmon also became the clown as he grew up. He would jump up the tree trunk and look at us all right in the camera. He never wanted to leave his nest and would scream for hours for his food. We all loved him and he was a very special little eagle.
I don't under stand, did they abandoned the baby because they couldn't see it? Was it put back by the man? Or did they hand feed it? I would really like to know.
this is nice with the music. Has he come back to the nest since? Maybe he thinks the camera will come and bring him food again? lol. Poor baby, hope he's almost ready to start his own family by ow (about the right time. Hoping he comes back to this nest, is that possible? I remember him, wishing we had a way to check in on him.
Such a bitter sweet video, Fly Free Buddy...we will never forget you Harmon!
