Thanks for your interest I hope you enjoy , please Subscribe, comment and like thanks ~ john
The story of your vine is great!!!! We are getting grapes from our vine for the first time !!! I planted them 3 seasons ago, this is their first year of production! We planted 5 varieties, the Concords are the first producers! You have inspired me to make some juice!!! Poured over ice that looks amazing!!! Thank you sir!
Cheers to your Grandfather
That is awesome! On so many levels, the grapes are only the start, the wildlife they attract, birds especially, I can heat a pair of cardinals out there right now, and the memories are the sweetest part of all, you will see . Enjoy the harvest, I am very grateful that you took the time to make such a nice comment, Best Regards ~ John
To your health

Thanks for visiting, its a very special tradition, I appreciate your comment ,
wow fresh grape from a vineyard.keep it up my friend
Thanks ,I appreciate that .
Fresh and tasty grape juice! We like it sweeter too!!
HI, I could leave them on the vine longer to get sweeter, but I would have to use chemicals to protect them from insects/birds, I refuse to do that so I add a little sugar , it also helps to render the juice from the grapes, thanks for watching I appreciate your comment

The sweetness varies year to year depending on the weather, they are especially sweet, when shared with friends. Thanks for watching and commenting
I have always wondered what grape juice tastes like ...thw grapes are so great...big like no8
Thanks for visiting I appreciate that
What a harvest. That is so cool that your grandfather and father have passed down these grapevines. I didn't realized they lived that long. Homemade grape juice, yum. My grandmother had a plum tree that she used to make jelly. So nice to think of the birds. I love feeding the birds too. I enjoyed your music selection :) Debbie - BluWave Odyssey
Hi Debbie, with a little care they are easy to keep, they like a hot summer with good rain , like this year , the grapes are so sweet, thanks for watching, Have a great weekend

Man I love me some grapes. That looked very good. I agree with adding the little bit of sugar. I agree on the sediment as well. I think it adds flavor. Always cool to share. Wish I was your neighbor for this one. lol Naw man you made it just right. No more filter. Lets drink. Cool dedication to your grandpa. Thanks for the share my friend.

The Inn I owned had Concord grapes that I made into jam for the Inn. Thank you for sharing
Maybe next harvest I give jelly making a go, to pay homage to my Grand mother. thanks for watching
That juice looked perfect, a fair bit of work to get the juice out but well worth the end result I bet John. Very good, I'm off to the kitchen to have a glass of water!! Lee
Thanks Lee, I don't have a long history, so I treasure the little that I have, this one is the Jewel in the Crown. Cheers ~ John
I've been making things myself lately because it seems like all my generation knows how to do is go to the store and buy things. Thanks for teaching me how to be fancy and informed.
I love the lineage of where the grapevine has come from, very cool. Most families pass down stuff and keepsakes. I bet just knowing these are yours make the grape juice taste just a little sweeter! Thank you for sharing this information and video!!!
Both the taste and the memories are best, when shared with friends
Awesome memories to go along with your grape juice. Really enjoyed hearing the history of the grapevines and your family while you picked the grapes. Your grape juice looks so tasty. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Lots of love in that grape juice, once a year, its like all three generations can sit together and have a drink, cheers
Man it was cool to see the process you take to create that grape juice brother. Does look pretty tasty!
A great flavor, just once a year, its very special to me. Thanks for watching my friend, Cheers
I love the history behind your vine. And yes nature heals. I feel so good when I'm in mattie. Always good to share with nature. I'm releasing rescue hedgehogs tonight.
Thanks for watching and rescuing the hedgehogs
Lovely! Thanks loads for the recipe. The family here will be stripping the green grapes vine this weekend and making juice using your steps.
That looks so good.
Thanks my friend, its so good in many ways .
@@JCharlesoutdoors I love harvest time. We are making homemade apple pies today.
No artificial flavors or preservatives, nice . Thanks Grandpa.
Just like grandma made it, thanks for watching Don
Beautiful! We only had a handful of grapes, but they were wonderful! Love this productive vine :-)
We had an exceptional growing season this year, the grapes are very sweet and abundant. Thanks for watching
catching up after long weekend away. I like my grape juice fermented LOL thank you for sharing the history.
I just couldn't wait that long, thanks for watching, I appreciate your support
My Grandpa and Dad would make their own wine and also a form of jelly too John, It was called Mostarda du Vino Sicilian. It is delicious. Nice stories about your Grandparents John, lovely memories. Nothing like making your own fresh juice. Thank you for sharing John. The final juice looked awesome.
Hello Joseph, thanks for watching , my Grand father was from Sicily. I was only six when He passed, but I have vivid early memories of him and his home, because of this vine . When it was all done, it tasted like home, nothing better than home. Once a year All the Best ~ John
Awesome video! I always wanted to know how to do this! Thanks so much!
Im glad it was helpful, I don't know if Im doing it 100% the right way, its just what I have been doing once a year forever, maybe a little more sugar if you like would be Ok. I appreciate you watching and commenting
What a process. Probably a lot better than store bought, though. But I do prefer my grape juice to be wine lol. It's cool that it's something passed down in the family. We don't have any family traditions. Always think it's neat when people carry on things passed down from generation to generation.
The taste and aroma make remembering, lost loved ones easier(better). Thanks so much for watching , your support means a lot to me
👍👌
Thank you 👌
I'd love to can some of that!
Hello, maybe I'll try making jelly next time, thanks for watching
The music is perfect for picking grapes, I love it. I enjoy the taste of grape juice, and dark grapes, but I seem to struggle a lot with heart burn from darker grapes.
Yes, too much grape juice or wine will give me agida, thats one of my Dads words. I'm glad you enjoyed ,
We are growing grapes from seed they did pretty good this year under a squash plant
Next year we will let them grow up a few strong ones
I planted them from my moms grapes shes only been growing them for a few years but always wanted some :)
I have no doubt, that they will grow for you, and be delicious, its does take some time. Thanks for watching, I appreciate your comment
@@JCharlesoutdoors your welcome thanks i hope they grow well and i can wait :)
Much love xoxox thanks
Can I do the same process for the green ones like Thompson seedless grapes?
I never tried, I can't see why not. Thanks for watching 👍
@@JCharlesoutdoors thank you.
