Good day, Sir, I'm a Police Major here in the Philippines and had already applied for a promotion to Police Lieutenant Colonel, I'm planning to migrate to Canada after my retirement 1 year from now, am I eligible to apply as Law Enforcement Officer or Security Manager in Alberta, Canada? I have 19 years of experience in the police service, requesting your kind assistance, and advice on the process that I need to take and prepare to pursue my career in Alberta, Canada? Please advise sir. Thanks.
I have worked as the Chief Provincial Police Community Relations Branch of Marinduque Police Provincial Office (PPO) and was adjudged as the Outstanding Junior Police Commissioned Officer in the field of Police Community Relations for CY 2014 during the 20th Police Community Relations Month Celebration, as a result, Marinduque PPO was adjudged as BEST PPO in the field of PCR for 2 consecutive years, for CY 2014 and 2015. I was also given a Plaque of Merit for having been adjudged with the highest level of performance in the field of Police Operations (Police Commissioned Level) for CY 2014. I was then reassigned to Regional Personnel and Records Management Division and was designated as Chief Human Resource and Doctrine Development, Chief Recruitment Placement and Promotion Selection Section, and Chief Discipline, Law and Order Section simultaneously from May 29, 2017, up to June 17, 2018. I was reassigned to ORMIN PPO on June 18, 2018, and was designated as Deputy Chief, Provincial Investigation and Detective Management Branch on June 22, 2018. Further, I was designated as the Chief, Provincial Personnel and Records Management Branch of ORMIN PPO from Sept 28, 2018, up to Feb 4, 2021. When the approved revised staffing pattern was implemented, I was then designated as the Asst. Unit Chief Provincial Administrative and Records Management Unit from Feb 5, 2021, up to July 7, 2021.
Currently, I am the Acting Chief, Provincial Police Strategy Management Unit of ORMIN PPO effective July 8, 2021, to present. I'm a registered Criminologist, with a Bachelors’ Degree in Business Administration and BS in Criminology.
