Hello everyone! Welcome to the Selfridge Open House and Air Show of 2024!
Introducing the Royal Canadian Air Force CF-18 Hornet Demo Team, painted in a beautiful scheme for the 2024 Season to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Royal Canadian Air Force. Piloting this gorgeous jet is Capt. Caleb 'Tango' Robert from 3rd Wing, Bagotville, Quebec who absolutely killed this fantastic demonstration over the skies of Michigan. Definitely looking forward to seeing the Hornet at many more shows in the upcoming weeks! Enjoy the video!
All the best,
Ernest G.

Outstanding. Thank you Capt. Robert, and to your entire Squadron. You do the RCAF and all members of the CAF proud. BZ and well done !
He’s done a hell of a job as this years demo pilot!
That’s my soon to be husband. Caleb is such a great guy ❤ I am always so proud of him
This was simply mesmerizing to watch! What a beautiful paint job on the plane, as well.
Cheers! Oh they made it fantastic. Looks really awesome with a blue sky.
This might be one of the best CF-18 demos I've ever seen ! Thanks Ernest .
Much appreciated! Thanks for watching!
All my respect for you and your channel, many thanks for all your efforts
Much appreciated :)
Ernest - great camera work and editing!
Thanks a lot :)
Great camera work! 👍🏼 One hell of a pilot and demo!
Thanks a lot! Demo was fire! Looking forward to seeing them at Barrie this weekend.
Your camera work makes this look like a sim! And this pilot is phenomenal
Thanks. It’s a new style I’m trying out and I love it. Yes, Tango did a hell of a job!
@@ErnestGutschikAviation Keep doing it, I think it looks amazing! Every so often, zoom out on the high-speed passes so we can get a sense of how fast it really is. We all look forward to seeing more, Ernest!
Great job bud!! Absolutely crushed it on this one!
Thanks a lot man!! Look a while but she came out good!
@@ErnestGutschikAviation the best ones always do!
One of the most impressive demos to date as well as the camera work, you captured the nuances flight demo.
Cheers! Demo looks great this year and the paint scheme is on point 👌
I should have just gone to this one instead of the money grabbing London Ontario airshow that I can't even enter without paying $100+
They each have their perks and benefits. I do agree London is a bit of a cash grab but their lineup is well worth it along with their static. Selfridge was entirely free however with the exception of VIP tickets and it sure made up for it with a fantastic show.
I am proud to say that Caleb Robert “Tango” is my soon to be husband❤ I am always so proud of him
Ernest thanks for the superior footage of such beautiful liveries on a clear sky.You put yourself through the paces to make and provide such fine videos to the viewer, many thanks again and hope all is good with you. Catch you on the next flight.
Thanks a lot Chris! :) appreciate the support.
Awesome! Looks like they have a new display as well this year!
Thanks! Yeah they sure have tweaked a few things this year but the demo is looking sharp!
Epic demo! Love the rudder inputs for the twisting moves.
Thanks! Noticed that too!
Awesome video man!
Thanks!
Another Great Job Ernest
Thanks David!
Great video, Ernest, Cheers
Thanks a lot Jeff!
I’ll bet it takes a lot of maple syrup to buy a plane like that!
Have you heard about the maple syrup heist that occurred in 2011-12? The value was estimated to be around 19M dollars at the time, that gives you an idea. Yes, not enough to buy one, but the province of Quebec produce more than 1 billion dollars worth of maple syrup every year, now, you can buy many planes with that kind of money lol.
@@badouplus1304 No doubt!
this is just amazing
Thanks :)
Yeahhhhh, I suspected SIM too
nice 👌
Thanks!
magic paint cheme
Definitely.
I don't know if it's a byproduct of the camera, but the movements of the jet just look unnatural for some reason.
I thought it was too but some of it is the stress the aircraft is going under when it’s being succumbed to those external forces. I’ve seen it in many other videos that show these tracking. At first I thought it was just the camera but turns out it’s in other videos too.
Did he tail strike on takeoff
Nope, they would’ve definitely called off the whole show if that was the case.
On second thought its fake !!!!
Nope, it’s all 100% real.
There's nothing fake about this. This is the 2024 Demo Team. The only "fake" thing you may think is how the plane moves under extreme air pressure.
You are fake, probably a bot
f18a the lowest of the 4 gen.
Poor old legacy Jet
Sure looks good though
We work hard to keep it flying
