Another great review with a pretty rare car... Hondas have never really done it for me but I appreciate the engineering and they are one of if not the most reliable cars out there!
Really awesome vid! Glad I stumbled across your channel. I would be so curious to know what you love more, the FD2R or the JDM 05-06 STI's - I can't decide!
Thanks mate 👍 After having driven numerous of each of them cars I think the FD2 will give you more fun as that VTEC is addictive and the FD2 is possibly one of the best Type Rs made. The STI is an amazing car in every way but for me personally the FD2 edges it 👍
Hi Truely awesome video and review - so much detail I love. I have seen an FD2 and very keen to get one and this car looks Epic - But I am also considering the EP3 (JDM) White to. Really confused - I've had an EP3 Pre-Facelift UK one years ago and loved it. What's the major differences? Its the EPS (JDM) more lightweight and fun to drive over FD2? The more I see the videos of the FD2 the more I think knowing myself well this is the car for me. Love high reving engines and Hondas. Would love your advice if worth paying the extra 6/7K extra over an EPS (JDM)?? **The only thing putting me off the FD2 is people say its awfully stiff. Its just a car to enjoy as I don;t daily drive it to work as work from home. Any advice would be greatly appreciated Thanks Richard
Hi Richard, thanks for the kind words 👍 The JDM EP3 carries the K20A engine and LSD which the UK cars didn't have. It feels better to drive than a UK equivalent EP3 IMO. The FD2 on the other hand is the best. The rear shocks can be swapped with a pair of Koni shocks as these suit the UK roads better. Go for a FD2 and trust me, you'll love it! Drop us a email if you need any help 👍
5 years of fd2 ownership here. The fd2 is definitely better than ep3. The ep3 runs the phase 1 k20a sharing the same engine with the dc5r. The fd2 runs a phase 3 k20a which is the most refined k20a with better powerband and torque. Secondly the ep3 uses electric power steering whereas the fd2 uses hydraulic power steering providing much better feedback to the driver. Also the ep3 front suspension connects to the steering rack which is one of the biggest cons for the ep3/dc5. Keep in mind the fd2 is a track ready machine from factory with fairly stiff stock suspension which can easily be solved by changing a set of aftermarket, there are plenty out there. Will choose an fd2 over ep3 all day, go for a test drive for both and you will feel the difference
Hi Thanks for your reply. What I meant is I know the differences between the JDM EP3 and UK One. Apologies, my question was in your opinion which is better to get as a car FD2 or EP3 JDM. I torn between the two. If you have ever driven a JDM EP3 which between that and FD2 is the most fun car to drive and better one? Thanks Richard

had one or two vtec hondas as a youngun, now 40 with a family and seriously considering trading the family wagon for one of these
Definitely do it but bear in mind these are 4 seaters. One of the best cars you can buy, such a focused and rewarding car to drive 👌
Exceptional review, fyi this is my fav honda
Thanks for the kind words 👍 Its one of my favourite Type Rs too 😍👌🔰
Correct sir..The type r decal is an optional.👍
I thought so 😁 👍🔰

Nice car bruv keep reviewing jdms
Thanks bro 😁 Got another special JDM coming soon so watch this space 🔰🔥
Is this FD2 now for sale?
Yes this is currently on sale, its a beauty to be fair. I've got a soft spot for these and this didn't disappoint 👌🔰
I wish it had cruise control as it would be handy for travelling
Would be handy but these were quite a track orientated Type R. Absolutely amazing cars never the less 👌
@@PerformanceLifestyles you can put in the cruise control from the fn2 i was going to do it on mine but left it as i only ever drive it on track
@raq4244 didn't realise you could do that, would make life easier if you daily the FD2!
I consider my FG2 Civic Si Coupe (Canada/America only) a FWD S2000.
The fake carbon fiber on the surround and vents, is not JDM. Added after
🤩🤩🔰🔰🔰🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵
