- 1979 Pontiac Trans Am. Right here is a true monster of a car. This 1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am Restomod has a truly menacing presence, with a killer stance and a near flawless black paintjob. Powered by a massive 6.6L (402 C.I.) Pontiac V8 breathing with fuel injection, this '79 Trans-Am is blisteringly fast. Torque from that huge 6.6L V8 gets to the rear end through a Hurst-shifted 4-speed manual transmission, ensuring that this Trans-Am is not only fast, but also a lot of fun. The exterior black paint is positively gorgeous, reflecting like a mirror in the sun after having been buffed to a brilliant shine and pairing nicely to the golden Trans-Am decals. Exterior bodylines are nice and straight with a rock-solid undercarriage, and a custom 1977 Trans-Am front end gives a more classy look to this Firebird. The interior is just as striking, with removable T-Tops and comfortable black vinyl bucket seats. Options on this custom '79 Trans-Am include power steering, power 4-wheel Wilwood disc brakes, fuel injection, aftermarket AutoMeter gauges, dual-sport mirrors, a "Shaker" hood intake, custom flush-mounted door handles, removable T-Tops, 18-inch "Snowflake" style Trans-Am wheels, a Kenwood AM/FM/Aux stereo system, a Hurst shifter, an aluminum radiator, and a mean-sounding dual exhaust system. This '79 Firebird doesn't just look like it means business, it runs and drives like it too. This '79 Pontiac is extremely quick, certainly among the fastest Firebirds we've ever had here at Coyote Classics! This isn't one you want to let pass you by, and we'd love to see you drive it away.

I just bought a 1979 10th anniversary, 400 4-speed with 20k original miles. Of course, now I want to destroy its value and Mod it out! Two things those rims are $4500.! Gorgeous! The one thing I would add to that car is a rear-view mirror.
Sounds f***** awesome, I grew up around f bodys, they just can't get any cooler
Love the firebirds!!
I had one in Gold I sold it back 40 years a go wish I DID'NT NOW.. Your car is Beautiful...
Thank you for making a video even if it was sold! Awesome car and great video as usual
I miss my trans am 😫
I'm crying on the inside because I want this I've always been geared towards the Pontiac division even though they no longer exist but the reason I'm crying on the inside is because reality dictates different I cannot afford it. Like many viewers of your sight I would love to have it. There's somebody out there with Deep Pockets that's going to be a happy owner of this one because if I could afford it I know I would I would take this with pride and show it off.
I am going to be overwhelmingly jealous of the person who would end up with this purchase. Please treat her with greatness!
Always liked these fire chickens . Couple 5-6 grand and she would be a great one . Would lose the door handles though looks cheap .
HOW MUCH MATES💵????????????????????!! 4 SPEED!! How much????????
Gorgeous 🤩
It's not a '79 with that front end.
They changed the front clip . The rear is a 79-81
79 tail, but 78 front! 🤔
Thanks for the video guys
I love it
I was the first like on this one. That's a first for me, but I actually love this particular beast! ❤️
I didn't watch the entire video just enough to say that the front end where the center between the headlights comes to a point is a 1977 or 1978 Trans am, not a 1979.
The 1979 is flat and in a square / rectangle shape
Said it was a resto mod
Yes its a resto mod and they said 77 front end was put on for previous owners taste. I think it looks good.
Oh yeah baby 😎😎😎😎
Love it
❤LOVE IT!❤❤
🔥🔥🔥
Very nice
That's a Beauty🏁👌💯
Very nice boom
I had the same year but the special edition. But it was by far the best car I've ever owned. Is it still available? My car I had the bird air brushed on the hood the all the Trans am and Pontiac were air brushed the birds behind the back side windows air brushed. 1970 GTO , 1979 Trans Am we're my favorite cars of all time. If it's available I'm looking to buy another one
prius door handles, very nice
SWEET BAD ASS
I once had a 78 hurst Trans Am , wish o dtill had it.😞
Unless this thing was nose wrecked, This is NOT a '79. It's a '77 or '78! You guys are in the Car sale Business! How can you not know that?
That’s part of what makes it a restomod.
We said in the Video that they changed the front nose to a 77 front nose. It was not wrecked the builder just prefered the look of the 77 front nose.
@@CoyoteClassics Missed that in the presentation. My apology.
Just need gold rims for bandit 1
No it’s fine how it is
That is a 1978 front bumper
