Stanley will discuss the implications of the misconceptions and stigma surrounding the diagnosis of myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME), emphasising the crucial distinctions between ME and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS).
The presentation will explore the diagnostic principles outlined in the International Case Consensus Primer for Medical Practitioners authored by Carruthers et al. in 2012.
Overall, this presentation aims to enhance understanding regarding the diagnosis of ME as a biological illness and foster more effective patient
care for people living with ME.
