Hi! I went to a thrift store today and got an old dictionary, 2 music books, vintage flash cards, old greeting cards, a book to take pages from, and several other really neat things for the beginning of my junk journal collection. I got it all for under $10 US!! 😊😊😊
I have been watching your tutorials all afternoon and am so inspired by your amazing talents - who knew just how many ways an envelope could be viewed and transformed. Thank you for your humour, and generosity, in sharing this magic with us.
I just made 6 of them and used my "Bind it All" to turn them into a book that will hold ephemera I want to give to a scrapbooking friend looking at recovery from a knee replacement. Tons of room to tuck away those goodies! Thank you so much for the inspiration!
I typed in “journal cover from one piece of 12x12 scrap paper.” I should have known you’d have it! You’re such a great teacher! Thank you again, Natasha!
I just found you today!! Thank you for your easy to follow tutorial! These samples are the cutest. Thank you for showing the CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS!!! As a teacher of 33 years, I love it when instructors like yourself, show the sample at the beginning, and the step by step instructions that are legible and easy to see!! Loved this!!
My gosh - does your mind ever stop? Another simple fold-up done to perfection! Who would have thunk a single sheet could become a "treasured" gift? Love your ideas so much - I have already made several of the fold books and the folded mini-journal books as Christmas cards, You keep me crafting with new things nearly daily plus your subbies add more uses too. Thanks for the inspiration and motivation!
I would use them as cards for birthdays, get well, etc. You could add a couple of tea bags as a little treat too. Also, you could make little pads of paper from cut-off scraps and tuck those in. Lots and lots of ideas are popping into my head. Thanks! Such a great idea!
Awesome! I also had the idea of the tea bags. You can absolutely stuff it with chunky stuff, and then have a piece of string/twine/ribbon as a closure :)
Natasha your bags are so beautiful. I love to watch you. The instructions are so helpful on 7 pocket folder and all projects are so helpful. And your sense of humor is priceless. Keep up you beautiful work. 💝💝💝
You are so amazing and generous with the tutorial! I am so excited to share this with my daughter. She is living in Japan with her two little babies and her husband, and isolated because of Covid. This is going to be a memory keeper. I’m going to fill the pockets with wonderful cherished memories from her childhood and send it to her. Thank you so much I love this.
I loved your idea and made a couple of them. Unfortunately I don't have a bunch of stash to decorate these so I have to improvise. Thank you for sharing your ideas!
I really love using these as an idea to hide small gifts for holidays. Things like gift cards, a few dollar bills, pictures of you together, etc. That in itself would be the whole gift and it'd be fun for them to open and reuse after! Thank you for the AMAZING idea.
So thoughtful of you to include the screenshot, but when I have all my materials gathered, I will replay the video and do it step by step with you. I’ve sent for a unicorn craft pad, and this is exactly what I was looking for to make my granddaughter’s birthday card. Thank you so much, it’s perfect.
I adore this little book! I think you could even add some pages in the center for a mini journal. Thank you for sharing and especially for the beautiful instructions!
Thank you for this project. So simple, fast and adorable! I send cards to people in our Church, what a great idea. For the shut-ins or people in the rest homes or hospital long stays put note paper, envelopes, stamps, maybe a pen in a pocket on the front, cards with sentiments, (get well, thinking of you, etc.) gift cards for the Hospital Gift Shop. There is no end. Love this!
These would be great for teachers, Co workers, thank yous, get wells, Christmas and birthdays, anniversaries, thinking of yous, congratulations, so much!
What a great idea. My mind is racing what I can do with this. A little something for my family where they can print off pictures from Christmas and put on the tags and papers. And use Christmas paper to make it. Thanks for the great idea. We don’t exchange gifts so this is a nice little something to give. Would be great as a hostess gift as well. TFS and I am going to start making some today. ❤️
Thank you for a great tutorial. I volunteer in the art show at San Diego Comic Con every year and I work alongside some awesome people. I followed along with your video and made a gift for one of the women who has volunteered there for decades. I filled it lots of fun things for her to discover. Thanks again!
I have recently found your channel and I love it! I am a beginner in this type of crafting. I am making a birthday card/envelope for my friend. I am going to load it up with birthday wishes and also stickers for her planner. You are an amazing teacher and so creative! Thank you!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! What a delightful and brilliant project! And I appreciate your pages of instructions...another THANK YOU! Is it possible that your video made me feel so good inside? YES! You rock. Thanks for your generous heart by sharing this beauty!
I LOVE that you even think about the screenshot of the instructions. That is so sweet! Thank you for sharing your creativity, Natasha 🍀 ~AnimarJournals
Very cute idea. Nice idea for instance for a Grandmother gift could put little samples of a child's art work and a letter written to her from the child or even get the child to sign a pocket. Your always so creative! Appreciative of you sharing your great ideas with us viewers.
Hi Natasha, I keep making all the notes of the hundreds of different things you design. Sure am going to be busy. It is just going to be fun all the way and upon every day. Bless you for sharing your love for paper with everyone. The 6 pocket design is really nice.
Mine is very plain - but functional. Wanted to tell you I have used it to put the little plastic identification stakes for plants and vegetables that I had in my garden for 2021 inside the pockets. I wish I had kept all the stakes, but I have enough to remind me to do it next year. I put 2021 on the back so I would remember! Your ideas are phenomenal.
I've just found this tutorial, and have made my first one! My husband suggested making one for our grandson and putting money into the pockets....... now I'm going through my stash to look for suitable papers! Thanks for your easy clear instructions!💞💞🙂🙂
Absolutely! We can be so creative really, with minimal stuff! I wanted the score board for SO long, and finally got one. But to be honest, I rarely use it. Main thing is good glue that doesn't warp paper. And my sewing machine. Those two I absolutely NEED. But having said that, I probably could do without the sewing machine if I had to :)
@@TreasureBooks I have an older sewing machine that only stitches a straight line. I see you use a straight line as well, at least in this project. Does stitching straight lines work okay with paper or better to go with zig zag stitch? This is the only reason why I haven't brought my machine out to stitch paper projects.
@@selenew1242 I only used a straight line in my stitching until I got a bit used to my machine. The zig zag is only for the decorative effect. So straight line works just fine. Just use a larger stitch length so that the paper doesn't tear.
I really like this idea. You could use it for many things, make a bunch ahead of time for gifts. I have a Grandaughter’s birthday coming in January and I usually give money or a gift card. Would be great for Christmas too!
This would make a Perfect Grad card full of Gift cards for an International student I had last year. She graduates next month and is planning on going to College either this Sept or next (all depends on covid). I will also (with your help) be making her a journal as a grad gift. I know she will absolutely love it.
I love it!!! As I watched you make this I thought of how cute it would be add other things besides tags. My church does something fun treats during a women's retreat. I can see so many possibilities. Thank you!
Oh absolutely! That's why I love this project so much. The pockets can be stuffed with anything, and the 'card' doesn't need to close (if for example you are using chunky stuff in the pockets). Just add a piece of string or ribbon as the closure :)
Instead of scream shoting it share it to yourself then you have the video or it’s already in your history love it And thank you for sharing this with me
A very cool fold, Natasha. I have made almost 50 for gift giving for this Holyday season. You inspire me. I have been making a whole bunch of ephemera for filling them. Very humbling &, yet, exciting as well. Best day now.
If I didn't tell you the first time I watched this, these are wonderful. I made one along with you this time - a small one - and it turned out great. It'll fit perfectly in the blue and green JJ I'm working on. As always, love and thanks, MK 🤗💗🌞🌵
Thank you so much. I can share the Bible with those in need and put gift cards in them and cash for the poor. You are truly a very gifted person and I thank you from my heart, because I am shy and this is an emotionally safe way for me to give to others in the most beautiful folder of designs and craftsmanship. I wish I could have tea and make crafts with you but I live in America and I sorta sense from your comments that you are probably in Europe somewhere. May God richly bless you for sharing your talents!❤️

I was rapt when I saw this YT come up... I recently saw a similar project elsewhere but their instructions were impossible! Your instructions are SO easy - THANKYOU! They look so good!
Thank you for sharing. I really appreciate the screenshot that makes a difference. Sometimes it seems like oh that’s easy but then when you actually start working on the project you have to go over it in the video and that means another process.
Not sure how i missed this before now, but i'm very grateful it turned up today! this is a great project when my cutter decided to fly off my table (it didn't survive).
I don't generally comment but just wanted to say you are my fave channel to watch, you explain things well, get to it and love your soft tone...thanks for always sharing your talent!
Yes!! Bookmarks. This would make a little gift like that really so much more special! Any little thing really - a notebook, a teabag. Its so nice to open something and then look through all the little pockets!
LOVE LOVE LOVE your DIY ideas for Ephemera for Junk Journals and really appreciate that you include the written instructions! You take nothing for granted without going overboard with the verbiage! I, for one, can’t talk and craft at the same time, let alone do a video tutorial. However, I like to pass along my projects as well as the inspiration I get from others like yourself. So, I am contemplating just videoing my process (or better still, just my finished products, setting them to music and including a PDF with the instructions.
Hehe just do it. In a few videos you'll be a pro. I also can't talk and craft at the same time, which is why my projects are always already done, and steps written out. That way I don't have to think about the next step, I know what I'm doing, and what I will do next, and I only talk about the project. I couldn't craft and chat about random things at the same time, like the weather or my cat (I don't have a cat, but you know what I mean hehe)
You’re correct! After doing this a couple of times, it became second nature and I no longer needed the instructions but how you figured it all out to begin with is impressive! I did opt on step two, rather than measure the 5 5/8 “ in from the edge to tho where the two ends met, instead to form a point directly under the point of the top flap. Meaning, they met in the middle so that regardless of the size paper you don’t have to worry about the measurements per se. I have to confess that some Washi tape was involved as I got a little enthusiastic the first time round scoring my folds😉 but the effect was actually stunning! Thanks again for this tutorial!
I love this SO much because I often find pages that are double sized and I love BOTH sides...it seems one needs to pick a side. This way, you don't have to! And all the pockets! I can't thank you enough!
You are so skilled. I love the visual structure and sequencing you provide. You also have alternative approaches. Your videos are clear without extraneous sounds and chatter. You're one of the best video tapers as well. I enjoyed your personal video of childhood and valuing paper.
Natasha - you are such a great teacher! By writing the instructions and demonstrating, I really learn. And this is a really sweet project idea! Thanks so much for another great video!
This idea has been my favorite thing! I have made about 20 or so, with various things inside. I would love to send you some pictures so you can see how you've inspired me. Thank you!
Lovely Natasha. This could make a very special birthday card, say for a new mum or a 60th with photos and other memorabilia. Will definitely make one of these. Thanks so much for you fantastic creativity.
Just made this today. I absolutely love it! I attached one of the smaller 3 or 4 pocket ones to the front. I ended up with 10 pockets. I wish I could show you. This will definitely be something I make often.
These are great. I saw someone do something very similar awhile ago but yours are very cute! I like that you explain about the bulk! You’re right , when it’s filled up, you can’t even tell! Tyfs🙋🏻♀️👏🏼👏🏼
Love this! Simple AND beautiful! Will def make these as gifts with small card sets and matching tags. I really like that you write out the instructions for us so we can take a screenshot. For me, that is very, very helpful. Thank you!
Thank you for doin things without equipment. I dont own a scoreboard or even a bone folder. I make do with a butter knife and my ruler. I love these so much Natasa. Very cool
I always like your last step most: ADMIRE! It says it all! Thank you for this cute idea, with some pages in between it‘s also a nice little journal cover.
I'm so glad you shared this video It takes one crafty person to inspire many And I've been inspired ...so much so i have made 3 if these so far as Christmas cards for my grandchildren I love all your creations/ shares, your tutorials are the best....Love your written instructions, such a cool idea Seasons greetings to you and your family

Haha I feel your pain Chrissy. I feel the same about book/magazine pages that have nice pictures on both sides :)
@@TreasureBooks the struggle is real! 😂
This was such an easy fun project. Thank you for sharing and making the process so clear to follow. 🙏
You are so skilled. I love the visual structure and sequencing you provide. You also have alternative approaches. Your videos are clear without extraneous sounds and chatter. You're one of the best video tapers as well. I enjoyed your personal video of childhood and valuing paper.
Thanks so much 😊 I appreciate you comment :)
Natasha - you are such a great teacher! By writing the instructions and demonstrating, I really learn. And this is a really sweet project idea! Thanks so much for another great video!
